Oh shit I didnt even see this.

They are still alive and well! No issues since I put them on. Trust me, im surprised also.

They dont go as low as i would want them too, but good enough. The ride is surprisingly okay. For the chance i gave them, they were worth it to me. Almost a year or 10k miles with no squeaks or rust! ill run them until a shock blows

Here is a pic of front on the lowest setting(W/ helper springs on still) I also added spacers to rear. Helped alot lol

I raised the front for the winter time.

Rollin good. But i did raise my fronts last year and i doubt that i can move the collars to turn them back down. Im pretty sure a shop could get them to move. Its not rusted from what i can see. The included wrench sucks. So its a bit raked(1.5 fingers front 0 rear). Never squeaked or made any noises even sub 10 degree weather.

LOL to the people who thought this was a bad idea or thought this was unsafe. Hell of alot better then spring only set-up. For sub 350 , its a chance worth taking. Wish they were dampening adjustable and went down lower. Gives you similar drop to h&r sports.

i say its all up to the owner. Some just despise cheap parts on their BMW. I think its a car. If the parts work than why not. Made it look better, handle better, overall more satisfying (goes for all coils). Trust me im surprised they lasted this long.

How much do shops charge to install something like this? $350 for a suspension upgrade sounds appealing to a high school kid like me. I'll probably get some sways and new bushings with the savings. I'm at 94k miles and looking to spruce things up in the spring.

You can do it yourself. Watch the coilover install video from ecs. its fairly simple. For a high schooler itll take a whole day with a friend. Only annoying part was getting the tophat of the oem shocks.

most likely a shop will charge 200-300. high end shops 400. along with 80-100 for an alignment.

This thread has nothing to do with H&R Sport Springs, it's about OP's experience with some inexpensive coilovers. Even the title states "the $350 coilover thread," not "the H&R Springs and random wheels thread."

If you can read, that is.

Its cool! springs give you a nice drop. these coils will give you probably the same drop as these coils don't go low. Thing is; putting those springs on your stock shocks is probably a bad idea and most likely will ride poorly and are not adjustable.

and yes KW V1 are probably a worlds better! Im not sure if i would recommend these coils, but i can attest that these hold up pretty well, alternative to a spring only set-up, and you won't die. I say try them if your interested! Im not going flaunt 350 dollar coils like they are just as good as kw or St/BC because they are not. They ride decent and give you a decent drop. They work...

Why wouldn't you recommend these?

Was there any handling improvements from these?

That's all that matters. Can't believe some of these responses. Budget coilover kits been around for years and are known to be proven good enough for daily driving. Good review OP. Plan on getting a set of JOM coilovers for my e34 for daily driving.
