I am glad you are on my side guys, thank you! =)

Chowbow: yepp, I got it removed from the website, I think everything as far as I can now see, I'll post some screenshots so you guys can see where they were used later on.

He did offer me a to him fair amount which was 100dollars, to me that is practically selling myself off, then he says thats what he pays his high-end photographers, I dont really care how much HE pays, he also says 300usd for a 5-6 paged long shoot in the magazine is 300usd, I've already checked that up with some friends of mine, also automotive photographers, but in the USA. That info was incorrect.. :/

Billspreston: That would be very very appriciated, I'll PM you now right away!!!

That's absurd. I've always loved the shots you took of Rossifumi's car, which was my wallpaper for a very long time. $300 for the quality of work that you do, setting up a rig for rolling shots, etc. is far too low for a company of iForged's purported caliber. See what billspreston can do, and best of luck!

Try to find if a copyrights attorney would work for you pro bono and take a share of your settlement later. That way, your attorney would be sure to maximize your (as well as his / her) return...... These clowns from iForged needs to be spanked, badly......

Those prices are obscenely low. $300 usd for a 5 page spread? Laughable. Even in a regional magazine the cost to use 5 *small* pictures is normally 5x that, and again that is one time use only.

sinnet112: Thanks man, I am glad you like.

Kev: Sounds like a nice idea, I'll check that up, thanks!!

picus: Yeah that is what I thought aswell, but according to Vincent Wong, since he appearantly knows just about everything thats the rates, It sure sounded very low... I mean in Sweden there are around 1000usd for a 5 page spread so..

My wife does photography for bands (like, rock bands), she says it varies depending on the magazine and their audience. For a small national magazine a 5 page spread (with 1/4 page pics) normally goes for ~$500 a picture, without exclusive use. If anything I'd imagine with automotive magazines the rate is the same or higher.

In honesty theres no difference between stealing a photo or stealing a car, its the very act of thievery. I know how you feel, when you get absolutely no credit for your work its total bullshit. Cant say I will ever go with an iforged product with the craptastic shit they spoon feed us customers.

How the brand equity of Iforged has fallen. They went from being equal to DPE in my eys back in August to falling to the same level as NADs (again, in my eyes).

So much bad press can't be wrong. @_@

Hmmm, I have your pic of Rossifumi's car as my wallpaper since they won he car of the month here. He was kind enough to send me the high res versions - I hope it's ok with U, no business use. I have to say U should go with a pro bono lawyer as it was adviced here - your pix were published and known here and HQ enough for them to know they are made by a pro and they have stolen them anyway. The intent should be easy to prove. Mistakes happen - if they unintentionally place some pix on their website in their gallery, OK, they can apologise and remove them, but putting them in a magazine without legal right - now thats a drag. Find a lawyer and beat the shit out of them!

PS: I also use the pix as my wheel testers - I masked some of them so I can place any wheel on a car to see how will it look. The reasons are simple - they are high res - but most imortantly they are the best g.damn pix of (at least) black e92 one can find. BIG THX and cudos to Sverige.

I've seen my pictures on ebay. It sucks to see your work stolen.

Your pics are phenomenal, it may be a good idea to stay putting watermarks on your pictures to protect yourself. Terrible that has to be done, but there are shady people out there in this world.

That sucks to hear bro.

You think that's bad - we have other shops using pictures of the cars we have worked on in their own website. That's flat out stealing people's work...

Glad you got the pictures removed. And those rates that Vince Wong quoted you are laughable, at best. I wouldn't even go through the trouble of dealing with him in terms of copyright issues and the like, it'll probably drag on for 3-4 years considering his timeline to make wheels. He'll probably settle with you "by the end of this week, maybe early next week."

I'm sorry to hear about this as well. I'd be very angry if the same thing happened to me, and because I work in marketing/advertising, I'll agree with the others that the amount he offered you isn't close to what the going rate is. We sometimes pay up to $1200 for limited distribution rights (i.e. rights managed photography) to some of the stock photos that we use.
