oil leak at filter

What would be a reason that oil leaks around the oil filter?

Failed gasket and the manifold. Do you also see blue crusty stuff at the bottom of the filter housing? If it's coming out of the cap, the cap gasket that gets replaced with an oil change may be an ill-fitting aftermarket gasket or it was incorrectly installed.
