Runway videos!
I saw these runway videos posted this morning and thought you guys might like them.
First one is a JB4 RB Turbo car putting the hurt on a Ferrari 458 Italia! Second is the same car racing a JB4 RB 135 with a near death experience at the end of the video. |

Ummm Sikh335 was. Terry jumped on me twice at Shift S3ctor. Second time was so bad I should have just stopped my car because it was by bus lengths. I'm not saying I would have won, but this is common for him to do such a thing and this just goes to show somethings don't change. So you my friend need to

There were plenty of runs..so it was clear which cars were fastest by the end of th day. Great event, almost no waiting at all toward the end of the day. Additionally, Terry doesn't even try and build boost at the launch, he just punches the throttle, even though I tell him he could start off even better than he does. He tells me he doesn't want to put any more stress on the trans than necessary.
The black Weistec C63 already ran a 11.1 at close to 128mph. The Mustang 5.0 with the huge Paxton blower pulled him slightly. The tuned Z06 beat the Mustang. And Terry pulled on the Z06. Out of around 7 races, the BMS 135i didn't lose a race. It was a great event. Good to see Longboarder, Sick 335i, SRanch335i, etc. We all had a great time. After the race, the kid with the 500-600hp STi invited us over to his family's 1600 acre farm and let us use the scales to weigh the cars. Amazing to find out the difference in weight between the 135i and SRanch335i's was barely 60-70 lbs or so. We even stood on the scale to see if it would add in our body weight, and it did so amazingly accurately. Check out the 1000Hp GTR vs 1000HP CLk. There was a Carrera GT there also, modded 458, F40, etc.

For a good point of reference, the guy with the 600 WHP Mustang had good video of his races with the: VF 625 M3 Kenne Bell Challenger F10 M5 Camaro ZL1 Weistec C63 Sedan Z06 (Tuned) Watch all the other videos and then the Z06 Video Terry beat last. http://www.youtube.com/user/Enaakx?feature=watch

Almost bought a Le Mans Blue 2010 Msport N54 Sedan the other week, but now thinking about a 135i. Still have my 2011 335d Msport, and just got a new LEAF in October. I have always loved electric cars, and I find myself putting double the mileage on my LEAF than the BMW. Its an incredlbly high tech car,(heated steering wheel, and front and rear seats, XM Radio, comfort access, homelink, smart phone interface, advanced back up camera, and high power LED headlights to go along with that $18000 battery back, lol.) I love driving it every chance I get. 130mpge was my best so far. I put a few miles driving and testing a $104,000 Tesla S sedan (4.0 sec 0-60mph,12.4 sec qtr mile), and loved it. See my youtube video of the speedo. Amazing what it can do with a motor the size of a small office trash can mounted between the wheels in a car weighing closer to 5000lbs! And the Tesla gets the equivalent of 79 miles per gallon! I just sold my Grand National, so thinking of picking up at N54 as a hobby car. But honestly, I might be getting the i3 electric when BMW releases it later this year. The silent, effortless instant torque at 0 rpm of an electric car is truly addictive. Will decide when I find out more. As much as I love fast cars, and driving fast, I went out looking for races on a daily basis, and it hardly ever materialized. I still have tons of fun racing people daily in the LEAF and catch so many people off guard with the instant throttle response and strong jump to 30mph. Its a different kind of racing, but still very fulfilling to me. Its kind of funny how much you hear the gas engines roaring as they try to keep up with you.

Hate to sidetrack here, but as screwy as it sounds, I spend more time on the LEAF forums than the BMW ones. I am intrigued by how I can drive 12000 miles a year on free sun power, with just 16 250 watt solar panels. Well free besides the $24000 it costs for the solar panels. But still, the concept is amazing. And once battery technology evolves, imagine a TESLA S with a 2nd one of those small motors between the front axles. Another instant 416hp, 443tqt (0rpm), or 832hp combined. And electric motors can be switched on/off on demand regardless of it being warmed up, etc. The possibilites are endless, as soon as battery technology catches up. As it is, a electric car costs 2x as much as the gas based models (the LEAF costs Nissan $60K to produce), and only holds the equivelent of 1/2-2/3 of a gallon in gas.. Besides the Tesla. (But you can be spending nearly $40000 extra for the bigger battery option!)
