To the OP, really try to get the bumper painted locally to get an exact paint match. I actually bought OEM Mtech fronts and rears at different times from a reputable vendor and when I bought the rear, the match was PERFECT, when I bought the front it was off by a bit. I ran it like this for 1-2 years, until I accumulated enough rock chips to warrant a respray.

I brought my car to a local paint/body shop that is owned by the local BMW dealer. The paint tech came out to look at my car and said "that front bumper's color is off". He then came back out with 10-15 test panels/shades of sparkling Graphite and explained to me that there are so many inconsistencies in this particular BMW paint color. We went out to the sun and picked the perfect shade of Sparkling Graphite and now my front bumper is perfect.

When it's all said and done for bumper cover + shipping + paint + install, what does everyone typically end up at?

I installed it myself...the install is pretty easy with YouTube being around! I paid about $900 shipped with paint.

I have to admit that although JGMods did a 100% paint match there are a few spots on my bumper that have some sort of circle prints behind the paint. You can't see it unless there's direct light on the spot though. The fitment is 100%

wow thats quite a deal. maybe ill go through them too.. was looking at oem but im being overcharged from every angle. one dealership told me 1600 for oem painted and installed.. another is asking 950 for just the bumper. im only worried about fitment being 100%

I found one on ebay. The seller states it's properly rebuilt OEM part.
$480 painted bumper only.
With diffuser, tow hook cover, and bumper guides from tischer total around $560
I am wondering if this is too good to be true.
Anyone tried this?

^IMO, is it worth saving $x and not knowing if you're getting something that's 100% fit?

Well.. I see your point, but if this is properly repaired OEM part, then I would assume it is 100% fitment.
If that's true, then this saves couple hundreds of dollars considering it is painted.
But still, there are too much "if"s, maybe too much of a risk.

Ordered my MTech MSport front bumper from JGMODS this morning. Also getting the paint done as well. The only way a body shop is going to match the paint 100% is if they blend it into the fenders. The hood really does not matter. By the time you paint it and blend it, you're looking at big money if it is done correctly. Plus I'm in Alaska and chances are the shop that JGMODS is using in beautiful SOCAL will do a better job anyways.

Thanks for posting that, the auction is over, but the link to their store is active and they may end up having EXACTLY what I need; an OEM M-Tech Bumper cover with PDC for a 2009 E92 (BMW PN: 51 12 8 044 934) painted Black Sapphire Metallic.

Thanks for the support Kevin. Fitment is guaranteed so you're in good hands. Also we use only BMW Color System (From Germany) for the paint so the it will look perfect.

Looks like JGMODS has been banned. I'm looking for a M-Tech for a 2011 E93 328i.

Mod bargains has it for $375 + $150 shipping (unpainted). Any other suggestions/recommendations?

Wow JGMODs banned...wondering what happened.

The paint quality on the bumper was pretty crap, the bumper itself was a good fit though

I actually got mine off a salvaged 328i oem for $150 not a scratch on it even though im repainting but perfect condition, all I need is a diffuser for im a 335i which im currently looking for (quad).
I would suggest calling a bmw salvage shop. There's one somewhat local to me about 2 hrs away in Naples called Quarry Motors. Theyr pretty active in our local BMW chapter in the Tampa Bay area. PM me for their number.

Thanks but I'm in NYC, I think shipping would kill it for me.
