To the OP, really try to get the bumper painted locally to get an exact paint match. I actually bought OEM Mtech fronts and rears at different times from a reputable vendor and when I bought the rear, the match was PERFECT, when I bought the front it was off by a bit. I ran it like this for 1-2 years, until I accumulated enough rock chips to warrant a respray.
I brought my car to a local paint/body shop that is owned by the local BMW dealer. The paint tech came out to look at my car and said "that front bumper's color is off". He then came back out with 10-15 test panels/shades of sparkling Graphite and explained to me that there are so many inconsistencies in this particular BMW paint color. We went out to the sun and picked the perfect shade of Sparkling Graphite and now my front bumper is perfect. |

I installed it myself...the install is pretty easy with YouTube being around! I paid about $900 shipped with paint.
I have to admit that although JGMods did a 100% paint match there are a few spots on my bumper that have some sort of circle prints behind the paint. You can't see it unless there's direct light on the spot though. The fitment is 100% |

I found one on ebay. The seller states it's properly rebuilt OEM part.
$480 painted bumper only. With diffuser, tow hook cover, and bumper guides from tischer total around $560 I am wondering if this is too good to be true. Anyone tried this? Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400384296682...84.m1423.l2649 Last edited by keeedle; 01-30-2013 at 04:56 PM.. |

If that's true, then this saves couple hundreds of dollars considering it is painted. But still, there are too much "if"s, maybe too much of a risk. |

Ordered my MTech MSport front bumper from JGMODS this morning. Also getting the paint done as well. The only way a body shop is going to match the paint 100% is if they blend it into the fenders. The hood really does not matter. By the time you paint it and blend it, you're looking at big money if it is done correctly. Plus I'm in Alaska and chances are the shop that JGMODS is using in beautiful SOCAL will do a better job anyways.

Wow JGMODs banned...wondering what happened.
The paint quality on the bumper was pretty crap, the bumper itself was a good fit though |

I would suggest calling a bmw salvage shop. There's one somewhat local to me about 2 hrs away in Naples called Quarry Motors. Theyr pretty active in our local BMW chapter in the Tampa Bay area. PM me for their number. |
