For the warranty, it is good but I would wait a bit as you might get a discount in the mail as I did for about $700

Hello everyone,
I just converted from Audi (couple of A4) to BMW and got my 328xi from Otto. I will be getting it on Tuesday. Should I consider Extended Warranty? 6years/160k for $2799? I was told that BMW's extended warranty is identical to the normal factory warranty (without any exceptions).
Extended warranty is powertrain only.
So no maintenance, and things like seals or gaskets are NOT covered.
You need to check what is covered exactly on the contract, but mostly everything powertrain(engine, transmission, suspension) is covered.

I agree with Beemw335 although the link said otherwise:
http://www.bmw.ca/ca/en/owners/servi...de3315854.html

With the typical extended warranty, you will also pay $200 deductible for every service. The extended warranty is offered via a third party so the third party who can "pick and choose" what items to cover.
If you seriously need to get an extended warranty, talk to:
Mulualem Bokere
Sales Administrator +1613.725.3048 x336 m.bokere@bmwottos.ca

After talking to him and asking all detail questions, I decided not to pursue the extended warranty.

My sa explained to me everything that is covered under cpo, he told me every time you make a claim you need to pay 50 dollars, doesnt matter if its 1 thing that was fixed or 10 things, its 50$ per visit.
I think its worth it op, aftermarket warranties have max amounts that theyll repair. if you absolutely need a warranty, go bmw

Hi everyone,

Has anyone in the area done a combox retrofit? Over the past few weeks I've been reading up and investigating the possibility of retrofitting my pre 09/2010 2011 E91 with the "latest & greatest". I found many resources in other forums and I'm getting familiar with the process but it would still be nice if someone local can guide/help me throughout the process.

thanks

It seems that the new agreement applies to cars 2011+, I requested more details as the brochure is very confusing and it's focus is around extended services not warranty. Will keep you guys up to date
Thanks

So, it seems that there is no extra charge and the list is impressive

"Please find attached list of items covered by the warranty. There are items that are not covered by even your 4 years warranty that considered being wear and tear items like brake shoe, wiper blade and all. Your four year warranty covers oil change as well as scheduled maintenance which is not covered by the extended warranty.

There are no deductibles and any additional cost when it comes to warranty covered works. It's always advised to have service done at BMW certified technicians which we have so many of them. "

Folks:

Need to swap out my winters for the new PSS's. Can you recommend anyone in town (preferably in the 5-10 km of centre town) who can swap out my tire without screwing up the wheels?

Thanks!

Thanks folks. I was determined to get them done on Saturday. I visited several shops and a lot of them were not willing to say they wont' scratch it 100%. Long story short, I went to Kal Tire on Sheffield road, after watch few techs change out tires for other customers.

Price was about $100 with lifetime balancing.

Thanks!

That's too bad - just my luck. I was ready to advertise them a few weeks ago but decided to hold off until the weather improved.

Hope that you're happy with your purchase .
