subframe bushing inserts on high mileage car?
Is it to late to install rear subframe bushing inserts on my 93k mile car? was trying to avoid installing actual bushing since I heard its a PITA to install. Would appreciate some input thanks

I wouldn't think there would be any issues, unless the actual bushings are damaged.
You might notice a very slight perceived rise in the rear ride height, but that would only be a result of the inserts removing whatever slight sag that may have happened over time. |

it's conceivable that over time there would be vertical sag in the rubber connecting the metal inner core of the bushing to the outer housing. The inserts, while mitigating horizontal movement in the rubber bushing, also affect vertical movement. So while they aren't in actuality raising the ride height, I do believe they return it to a more stock location.

Screw the inserts. If you're really at 675whp you should be looking at black poly Powerflex or solids. And the diff lockdown, diff bushings, trans bushings. A whole rear-end refresh of the suspension wouldn't hurt either. You want to eliminate as much play as you can. There's absolutely nothing about the ass end of our cars that is engineered for big power.

At that power level you've obviously spent big on your car, so I'd advise just to "do it once, do it right".
Solid bushings + diff lockdown brace as suggested above. These do not hurt street dive-ability or comfort. AKG red bushings + a simple metal diff brace here, and it's my daily. |

thanks for the input guys Im definitely going with a differential brace. As far as bushing I'm looking at the AKG's since their easier to install and have seen good reviews. The thing that looks dreadful are taking out the old stock bushing thats why I was considering inserts. Im just wondering if its worth it so spend all day installing and cursing lol taking out the bushings
