Not just cars cost more everything costs more. On line retailing is booming at the moment. The only businesses winning in Australia are the small freight package companies.

Yeah every time someone I know goes there their Facebook is littered with pictures of $19 boxes of cereal and $25 six packs of Coronas. We have a few Aussie friends that visit regularly and they do all their online shopping in the US. They send the packages to our house and then pay to ship it all at once to Australia.
