Need help locating correct cooling fan
Car is a 2007 PRE LCI 328i E92 with N52 engine and manual transmission. Fan bearing sounds bad (almost like a diesel) and there is some wobble. Definitely want to avoid catastrophe.
On bimmer.work VIN decoder, it says my car is hot climate version. Many combinations can be found on retailer sites, none of which seem to fit my vehicle: N51 with tow pkg only N52 600 watt auto trans only n52 400 watt auto trans only It seems they are very specific between trans/body/wattage types I have asked several different websites who have pointed me to different models which I am reluctant to order, install and deal with return policies when/if the product doesn't fit/work. These fans aren't cheap, and i'd much rather be putting the coin towards headers The latest one referred to me was this one at Pelican. It lists specific models, but not E92 with N52. Has anyone ran into this trouble before? What about non OEM fans? They seem to be $100-$200 cheaper and come with warranty. My car was before refresh so maybe the part number got updated/changed Any help is greatly appreciated! |
