So I am posting events that should interest most lappers, and HPDEers.

If the event is far (ie. Wisconsin, Illinois, Virginia..) I will only post 3 day events.

I will only post events hosted by reputable organizers, and on great tracks. So probably not many ASE or Sanair events on this except if they are from BMW Québec club. These tracks can be interesting for beginners / intermediates or for people who just want to do some testing on their cars.

I would also like to post up the names of whomever signs up for one of these events... The more the merrier.

Tracks that will be posted are:

In BOLD Blue font :
Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant (LCMT)
Watkins Glen International (WGI)
Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP) formally known as Mosport
Calabogie (CMP)

In REGULAR Blue font :
Virginia International Raceway (VIR)
Road America

In REGULAR Black font :
Autodrome Saint-Eustache (ASE)
Sanair
...

I guess you'll want a 2 day event. We normally post up our names on events we intend to participate in. That will come up in the coming months.

I'll start the ball rolling and post up my WGI June date (payment sent)

Sounds good - a 2 day event would be good - worst case if it coincides with Calabogie I can always pick up a day there too.

When should we know the cca dates for the glen and other northeast tracks? I checked motorsport reg the other day and there was nothing. I need to schedule my time off as well as my staff's time off as early in the year as possible.

Thanks

18 events posted. Post 1 and 2 have been updated.

BTW the Autobahn Country Club looks interesting. It's in Illinois. So again a 3 day event would be nice.

From the other thread about harnesses. Think it's a good idea?

I think Pseudo Nim has one for his rare Blue Golf R.

I think it's a good base, better than CG Lock for sure.

I won't get it finally!

Harness without race seat and cage is not ideal. I'll wait next car to indulge....

No you may not.

Thanks it is is very awesome. Seb is the artist.

Every job is custom, so it goes by time and difficulty.

Let me tell you it was very reasonnable. Worth it.

To have this done, it all depends where you are in your progression and where you want to go.

Ok crazy thought! I am toying with the idea of getting DCT instead of manual for next track car.

I figure why fight progress, even Porsche is fearlessly doing away with manuals. Another change is electronic steering, surely we can see what's coming down the line (to the point the car may one day drive itself ).

Any thoughts on this? Do I resist the trend?

Dunno yet... but if it'll be a CLA45, which is likely, then that's not a hard choice hey, how do you check clutch wear?

google? usually if you put it in 4th gear going 50km then ramp up the throttle, if you hear engine speed going up but tach needle not going up smoothly but see-sawing it's slipping. That is if you don't have wheel spin, but on 4th you shouldn't have traction issues on dry.

why google when this was quicker and a more concise explanation?

yeah i'm probably far from wearing the clutch out, but was just curious.
