It's an N52N. Forgive my ignorance, what differences are there between my engine and your 325's?

I'm not entirely positive on the differences between the 328 and 325, but they have the same bore, stroke, and compression ratio. Also, the part numbers for the long block are the same. The manufacturing process is different for cost savings and the tuning is different.

Unfortunately no. I didn't install it myself so I can't really put a DIY up.

^^^^^^ ticher FTW, but I got my parts from a friend who is a BMW tech. Discount is similar, but no shipping. And he installed them for me.

When I go to getbmwparts.com, just the intake and 2 adjusters are $841.46 (483.30+179.08+179.08). Did they give you a better price on the phone?

I ordered my manifold with the DISA actuators from this place for $250.00 shipped to me:
http://www.generalautorecycling.com

Keep in mind when you select on their site the same manifold may show for a few different models with the N52 motor. You can easily check if the part is compatible by comparing the part numbers on realoem.com. Here is the link to the 330 intake page:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...56&hg=11&fg=40

The one I ordered came from a 5 Series but has been working great for over 6 months now. If you go this route I would strongly suggest you get new gaskets.

Enjoy!

AWESOME!

Will you be doing before/after dyno? Or even something cheap like dynolicious app or g-meter times?

Doing a write-up? Starting a new thread or posting in this one?

Can you tell I'm interested?

lol thanks

I've posted the dynos of my 06 Step in the old three stage manifold thread.

Baseline showing limited rpm range because of an issue dynoing:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=646

After manifold install:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=654

Since the manifold has been installed since last November I can't really do a write up justice. I would be happy to pass on my notes and instructions to the next in-line. Hopefully they would be willing to do a write up.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. I am super curious to see Aonarch's results, because he has an identical setup to me, minus the res/2nd cat delete.

I would gladly pick up from where you're at and create a write up. I'm yet to install the manifold so any help is appreciated.

If you could send all the instructions you have, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are there any alternatives to extracting and sending the ecu in, like OBD performance chip updates or dealership updates?

I was curious too if a badass BMW dealer ship would be willing to do it. If it were possible I know that United BMW in Atlanta would gladly do it. But I am going to Top Speed in Atlanta, for my dyno tuning.

So are there any other parts that I need to order/ don't need to order as referenced on the first post? I'll be doing this swap in June unfortunately. I am completely jammed right now time wise. I am in school and for May I am cramming an entire semester into one month.. called maymester, its super intense 6 days a week practically 9-5.

Anyone? Not a fan of taking out and sending the ecu, any OBD system would be perfect, less of a hassle and should be cheaper.

Anyone with any knowledge pertaining to this, please help out.

Awesome. You think you are gonna get it for the 128 as well? I might do it down the road for the 128 but I don't have the money at the moment.

You can go through one of Powerhip's installers. They can flash the ECU through the OBD. Other tuners will be able to do the same thing.
