scoops are installed in each one of the front grills to channel more air into the factory air duct.

As far as performance goes you will be lucky to see 2hp at 100+ MPH lol
And for the cost ehhh not worth it i made my own from a thread on here of DIY Scoops.

very creative! Isn't that cone filter awfully tiny though? It looks like it would flow less air than the panel filter does?

The cone used in the new aFe intake is clearly much bigger in diameter, at least at the neck.

Hey Apex, what is the brand and model #s for your cone and adaptors? I don't mind giving it a try.

I currently have the Dinan style intake mod, I use the aFe blue drop-in filter, but it gets clogged too fast, and it does not appear to have enough surface area to work with the much larger intake snorkels.

Apex, how snug was the 3" adapter when it was inserted into the intake, where the MAF is located?

Also is there any room at all to fit a larger cone filter in the box?

Thanks!

its not snug its tight so tight that u need to screw driver to put it out from the other side. and on the filter size idk its really small in there i was thinking about cutting the ribs in there to make more room btu i found this one to work better then cutting it

Thanks again Apex. So can't have a cone that is taller than yours, but what about diameters?

Will a wider cone fit in there?

OK, the reason I asked the questions, I already have a Dinan Ram Air Intake Mod with the aFe drop in filter. If I want to do this, might as well find the biggest filter to go in there.

I am looking into the K&N oval/tapered high flow filters.
