How to reset service light

A week ago my service indicator started popping up on the cluster once I turn on the ignition. It will stay on for about 2 seconds and then go away. I followed the video below to reset it but the warning still comes on. Any suggestions?

What service is required and did you do the service?

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

It's the generic service light, it doesn't say what needs servicing, its just a reminder to take your car to the dealer so they can drain your wallet.

Sounds like the 30,000 mile inspection. Do the inspection and reset like the other maintenance items. It should come up in the menu, then reset it.

So when clusters says "SERVICE" does this mean that some system on the car (front/rear brakes, brake fluid, emissions, etc) needs to be reset? If so, how do I know which system needs to be serviced/reset? I do all my own services so these lights are pretty much useless to me.

I've just been going to the icon of the car on the lift and resetting that one assuming it was the generic service light.

The manual explains how to use the CBS menu system.

Turns out it was the brake fluid service that was causing the service light. The date on it was feb 2015. Reset it and everything is good now.

Well, did you flush the brake system and replace the brake fluid, or just reset the CBS and think the brake fluid magically changed itself? The maintenance reminder is there for a reason...
