rear light help
so I noticed one of the bars in my rear left tail light is not working. replaced both bulbs in the light, and still no luck. Also, no fault codes showing.
Any suggestions on next steps? Car is still under CPO warranty for a few more months, so hoping this is covered. First pic is light w/ missing bar, second pic other light fully functional. Any help is appreciated! |

The reason your bulb change didn't work is because those are LED bars. There's an LED module sitting on one end of the bar and the light is fed via a tube along the rest of the bar. The bulbs you probably replaced are the brake light bulbs.
I've seen and heard of this happening before. As you're under CPO still, take it in to the dealership. My car had this issue and the previous owner had it fixed under CPO warranty. |

in case anyone cares, the light is only covered under the original 4yr/50,000 mile warranty. after meeting with the SA, they quoted me at $300 for the part, and another $100 for install.....not going to pay $400 for a single tail light.

This "repair kit" comes with both left and right outer tail lights for cheaper than a single side.
