Actually, it's recommended to use the forum's server for photos so you don't get the dreaded red X.

You only get the X if you delete them from photobucket.

Thanks for all your help & advice chaps. Appreciate the comments dxb335d. It's only a 318d Edition M Sport, but it's my first BMW so as you can probably guess, very pleased with my new steed!

I used to work for A*di, so it's nice to drive the Bm and notice the differences in driving experience especially the handling.

Even though I've only owned it since wednesday evening I can confidently say that this will not be my last car with the propellor badge on the bonnet!
Might go for a 320d next time with pro nav & xenons!

Hi everyone, I am on the verge of returning to BMW after a short and very unhappy stint with Mercedes. I am currently in dispute with them over a gearbox failure at 50k miles due to a known design fault for which they want £5900 to repair.

I will be so happy to get back to what I know... I have my eye on a 330i SE (2006), any advice on what I should look out for? I have read the thread about faulty alloys but I am not sure I can check for this easily.

Faulty alloys have affected the new M-sport 19" coupe alloys are far as im aware which were first availavle 1st march 2007. So need not worry.

Is your merc out of warranty?

welcome to a great forum

Hi guys,

I'm new here. And i currently drive a Merc (E320 CDi) and Audi A4 (3.0 TDi). But i am coming to the darkside!!!

Reason being my gearbox on my E320 has gone to shit and i had to fork out 2k for a new one and a new torque converter.

Never buying Merc again. Unless its a SL55 or C63..until then i am on the hunt for a 2006/2007 330d..

Evening all...

Well took the plunge this afternoon ... deposit went down on a 2007 335d coupe, 9k on the clock for £21k from the main dealer. Could have gotten a better deal privately i think, but my current car (mini cooper s) was on finance with them so no choice as no-one wanted to buy the cooper s!

Black with coral red looks awesome IMO ...just need some nice alloys now as the standard ones just dont seem to 'work' for me.

Donster - replied.

But in short - the dealer wanted close to £22k, so i offered £21k and he said yes. Guess they wanted to get their year end numbers up a little!

If anyone wants an 06 astro black cooper s with 15k on the clock and recaro leathers ill let ya have it for £10.5k!

Hello everyone,

Just found and joined the forum. Looks a good place for info.

I have a 2008 model E90 320D SE in Montego Blue that I have had a year now (40K miles done). It replaced my Graphite 2005 320D ES model.

Been very happy with both.

Only mechanical issue I had with the 163ps 320D was a faulty (leaking) fuel tank in 70K miles.

So far the only issue I have had with the 177ps 320D has been a siezed turbo actuator valve.

Cheers!
