RDC Module Location for Pre-Lci E90
I need a bit of help. I recently changed out both my angel eye bulbs for leds. In doing so I must have pissed off the TPMS because now I get the "Inactive (!)" messages every few drives. My plan is to code out the error with protools, but first I have to find the damn RDC Module. Does anyone have the location of the module for a pre-lci e90? I've checked the whole damn trunk and both the front fenders liners. I didn't find anything resembling the white box everyone in google shows. ANY advice is appreciated.

The RDC module is like finding Waldo. I swear BMW was hiding them in different places with each car that rolled off the assembly line lol. I think it should either be burried somewhere near the battery or near the passenger rear wheel under the car from what I remember. I think pre LCI it’s usually in the trunk though.

0) WHY/HOW do you plan to "code out the error"? What error? There IS a way to code RDC as "inactive"/ nicht aktiv, and use DSC to monitor difference in tire rotation speeds. FIRST the actual RDC Fault should be identified. 1) Can't see any reason that installing LED's (connected to FRM) would affect TPMS/RDC operation. 2) Do you have metal Valve Stems? 3) Have you checked ISTA or VIN Decoder to see that your vehicle has "S2VB" or other RDC/TPMS "Option"? 4) What is the build Month/Year of your BMW (& preferably Last-7 Characters of VIN)? 5) Until 9/1/2009 beginning of 2010 model run, RDC Module was in trunk. As of 9/1/2009 a DIFFERENT (simplified) system was used, and module was located behind RR tire where Antenna had been previously located, and looked similar to antenna. 6) As of 9/1/2009, Transmitters were no longer located in Wheel Wells. 7) What Scan Tool or Diagnostic Software (INPA/ISTA) do you have available? So rather than tear your car apart, looking for something that may NOT be there at all, or at least in SAME location/configuration as on some other E9x, if you will answer the questions above, we can provide Location Diagram from ISTA, or other information. You can remove 2 fender liner bolts to access it.

Now that it's disconnected. Are there any BMW Coders in Connecticut for FTM program?

Sorry I thought I had uploaded this video. I ended up finding the RDC and coding it out. Problem solved.
