(Edit my car is a 2010 BMW 335i xdrive sedan twin turbo) Hey so a couple a weeks ago I took my battery out of my bmw and my boyfriend accidentally closed the trunk without thinking. Since his bmw you can put the seats down in the back but with my car it’s in the trunk… so you can see my problem… I called the dealership to see if there was a key hole or anything I can do and they told me to jump it from under the hood connections. Well I tried that and I can’t get enough Electricity in the car to pop the trunk. I’m stuck and don’t know what to do.
So what I have been trying is taking apart my middle back cup holders and ran into another problem I can’t take off the black plastic in between the back seat and the trunk. If anyone could help with advice or anything pleaseee lmk I need my car.

At 1:03

You can take out the ski pass thru

Then use a clothes hanger or some kind of hook and pull the emergency trunk release handle

Update I got into it. But the only was making a hole through that black piece. Because my car is older it didn’t have a way through like that. I found a video and had to make a hole but I got it open and put a battery in it. Thank you for the help tho<3

There is a tread here about putting a 9v battery in circuit with the lock solenoid via the FRM after removing the fuse.

I haven’t tried it but doing this seems to be very easy and directly triggers the lock to open from the passenger side fuse panel.
