PROcede Rev1 to Rev2 update for customers
We are officially extending the $695 competitive price to all current PROcede Rev.1 users. And those users are encouraged to put their Rev.1s in the classifieds section and sell them for ~$400.
And everyone who was in the market for a low end inexpensive tune could now get into a full-on PnP PROcede for peanuts and enjoy all the new v3.2 maps/features. While all original customers can update to the latest and greatest for only ~$300 out of pocket expense and rest assured that new hardware-based features are coming along in the pipeline. We could even arrange for used PROcede testing service for a nominal fee for those who purchased used units in the classifieds and want to make sure everything is in fine shape before installing. Basically ruling out any risk associated with purchasing used product. This creates a selling market as well as a buying market. Not a bad idea in this marvelous economy of ours I suppose Cheers shiv Last edited by OpenFlash; 02-05-2009 at 11:44 AM.. Reason: It's official |

How about you give a $400 credit to return the rev1 with purchase of rev2, you can test and resell them through your distribution channels for $450 as Certified Pre Owned. Saves sellers the hassle of selling/shipping/dealing with 3rd party, buyers get piece of mind knowing deal is legit and unit is tested.

^+1... i'd be waaaay more comfortable doing that. i really dont think it would be to easy to privately sell these rev 1's once a shitload of them hit the market at the same price. i think you would be much more successful selling used rev 1's that you certify are in proper working order than us selling them on ouor own.

Rev 1 to 2

Great Idea....maybe you could be a exchange station of sorts. Maybe even include a 90 day trade-up policy for those that try the rev 1 and want to trade up to Rev2. |

I highly doubt Shiv would take the risk of accumulating a bunch of used V3s that he might not be able to resell... But if he did it, I foresee a massive chunk of the rev 1 userbase making the switch.

Why not? At this price point you are attracting people in the market for a $400 tune to buy Vishnu with all the fancy features, less O2 sims. With the right distribution channels (web sites, vendors, etc) I would think the risk would be very low, when you compare the performance/functionality offered vs the competition at this price point. Basically introducing the V3 to a new set of consumers who were priced out previously.

With a bunch of used PnP Rev I V3's flooding the market (and being that they will all be in the "For Sale" section only on this Forum), it may be difficult for many ppl to sell. Good concept, but easier said than done; I still think a decent trade-in policy is warranted.
