JB3 1.22 Map 6 Orlando Drag Results

Last night, went to Orlando Speed World for the first time (and first time at any drag strip) with GeorgiaTech335coupe.

Here are the conditions--
read my sig
93 octane
map 6 v1.22
about 80 degF, 80ft elevation
launched in 1st (power braked) and kept it floored

Here are the runs--
1. 60' 1.87, 1/8 mi 8.8/85, 1/4 mi 12.88/106.7
2. 60' 1.86, 1/8 mi 8.29/85, 1/4 mi 12.88/106.2
G-tech on run 2. 60' 1.87, 1/4 mi 12.92/105

Was hoping for 12.7 but this will do.
Nice to see the G-tech matched well.

Will report back after I install the AR downpipe this weekend.

So how do some guys with the same mods get < 12.7 seconds?

Those are nice 60' times - looks like you got a good launch!

Looks like you could probably improve considerably by using 100+ octane instead of 93.

Would be interesting to see how much improvement it makes.

I hope this doesn't sound wierd but I thought jb3 would put the 335 into the mid 11's. Good run tho I guess that's still super fast. I guess I just had higher expectations from the stage 3. I wonder what jb2 runs for a 1/4 drag.

Did u launch in 1st gear or ds mode ?

I'd expect slightly higher traps. 6mt or auto?

He was not too happy with his launch. Says his best there is 12.4 on 100 octane and drags though!

DTC off, launched 1st gear at 1800 rpm. The track was very sticky.

Maybe if you have shifted in M mode at 6k you would've gotten a higher trap and a better 1/4 time, It worked for me.

I'll try it using the G-tech now that I trust it, thanks.

With drags and race gas on the race map his chances of running 11s would have been higher. But he was only on 93 with map 6.

with those traps I dont see 11's ever happening... You need race gas that will get you a couple mph... but 106mph?? Thats just very low.

trap is quite slow...but his et is GREAT given that trap speed. Shows what a good launch can do for you.
