Anyone ever have success removing bird poo etch???

I can't stand the stain that the bird crap leaves in the CC. I've gone as much as PC on speed 6 with an orange pad using 106FF and just about made no effect at all.

Is there a more aggressive pad/polish combo (powergloss maybe) that will effectiviely remove these stains or is wet sanding the only answer.

If you ever had any success removing these stains please let me know how you did it.

Thanks Guys.

I have heard Scratch-X does a good job. Or try Meguiars cleaner wax (less aggressive).

I should say that I have yet to use either, but I plan to do so this weekend for two spots I noticed last week and couldn't fix even with clay. After lots of reading and searching, those were the two solutions that stood out. Scratch-X probably has a better chance of working because it actually smooths out the etch from the clear coat.

Have both products and tried both...no dice.

I did the same with the 106ff and a orange pad. It is still there but barely visible. I have considered trying Menzerna Intensive and a yellow pad.

has to be wetsanded with like 2 or 3000 grit. Then polished and rewaxed.

I had some that sat on my car for two weeks...it etched into the clear and
wouldn't come out. Brought it down to the dealer's detail shop and the prep guys who shine all the new cars up for delivery took care of it. Came out perfect.

Dammit, don't tell me that. I am hoping my issue is resolved this weekend without fuss. If not, it's off to shim for some PC action. I can't believe it would have to be wet sanded.

Is the menzerna IP really anymore agressive then the 106FF? I'm curious as to your results since I was thinking of trying the same thing.

An update to mine -- I was prepared to break out the Scratch-X or cleaner wax, but I thought I'd try clay first, and it came off fairly easily with clay. So I clayed the spots and Zaino-ed the area and it looked great for a few days.

BTW - if anyone is still reading this thread - I have way more success using clay with car wash soap and water to lube rather than Z-6. Anyone else? Z-6 is so oily that it seems like the clay doesn't pull anything out of the clearcoat.

Now it's rained since then, so now my car is covered with dried rain drop spots. Black cars are tough.

Black is tough and the rain (water spots) are a nightmare. Does anyone know how to remove the spots without having to polish again. I hit it with some mothers cleaner wax and it looks a little better but no where near as good as it did after polish/glaze/seal/wax. It really is a love/hate relationship!

Try P21s multi-surface finish restorer cut with some type of glaze (it's too aggressive by itself). Use a MF rag or a foam pad and use some elbow grease. It will take several rounds of this but it will take the edges off the etchings and either reduce their existance or wipe them out completely.

What mix ratio do you use?

Of course, this is why I am in the detailing section right now.
How can you even trust a product with a name like that, sales and marketing bs I suppose.
