Yup..you will quickly find out that ...in FL...rain does not drain off the road easily or quickly as in Maryland. Many low lying areas and when it rains... lots of standing water so becareful... enjoy the weather....not a UM grad but went to college in Daytona Beach and visit the Ft. Lauderdale area often. Oh...watch out for lightning...just stay inside.... and watch out for "top" optional in South Beach..... it's the 55 or better crowd that will hurt you.

93 degrees and 90 percent humidity ? yuk...weather will get better after mid-October... In December thru February...when Maryland is under a deep freeze and snow\sleet..you will be enjoying the warm ( much less humid) 80 degree days...
