335i bang under load

I'm having this weird issue when I'm in a high gear going slowly. I can be in second doing 10 mph. I don't want to shift into first then back into second so I just give it a good amount of gas but sometimes there is a bang. It's hard to describe but when I give it gas in low rpms the engine had a violent shake. It's very very brief. You can definitely feel it. Doesn't happen all the time but I'm just not sure if that's normal. I know I can prevent it by just shifting later but I'm curious to know what it is. Mods in signature. Anyone with similar issue?

Is it misfiring when this happens?

It doesn't misfire but that's a good way to descibe it. It's like a shake of a misfire but way more intense and much shorter.

I'm curious to know what the resolution is because I have a similar problem in my N52. I call it "hesitation at low RPM" or something to that effect, because it seems like I'll dig into the throttle and then feel a jerk/shake/thud/something...
