Thanks for the reviews. Wagner catted DP sounds interesting. Worried about the extra noise though - how much louder does it get?

After not hearing back from Wagner for almost 4 weeks after contacting them I went ahead and posted a review on their website stating that a CEL does appear despite their claims that none have been reported to date. Apparently the reviews must go through an evaluation before they actually get posted and that must have been enough to prompt them to finally get back to me. They e-mailed me back and said that "updated" BMW coding has now caused there to be errors resulting in CELs. Not sure what they mean by updated though since my car has not received any updated software in the last few years.

They never posted my review and their website still claims "No ECU engine management light errors in testing to date." So I'd say that is pretty poor service all around for a nearly $800 product. No customer service response from them. Didn't post my review with factual information as it would reflect badly on their product. And no update to their website claims of no CELs to date despite them having the information that this will in fact result in a CEL.

So note to future purchasers. If you are considering this product you are probably going to want to look into a mini cat or spacer for your downstream O2 sensor if your emissions testing checks for O2 readiness.

Quick update.
I just passed OBDII inspection in CT. I first switched the tune to stage 1 from stage 2. I drove for 110 miles with no SES light. Then went to the emissions test and passed with flying colors. All systems were in "ready" mode. Your mileage may vary but I wanted to pass this along as my own experience with the catted Wagner dP.

On my last car (Audi) I had a high flow cat and I can tell you that it would throw a CEL if you didn't have a tune loaded for it. But the tune did not put the O2 sensor in a permanent not ready state because I successfully passed emissions with both the high flow cat and the tune installed. So I presume the tune must have doctored the allowable range of post cat O2 sensor readings. It seems that at least the Cobb stage 2 tune does not take this approach and instead puts the sensor in a not ready state which of course will not pass. If it is indeed that there is no way of using the former approach, I may have to pursue getting one of those O2 sensor spacers or mini cats to solve the problem.

Let me know if you have any luck as well.
Bump - interested in anyone's feedback on using a high flow catted DP with a spacer as to whether it throws any CEL codes.

I have high flow catted dp, same as OP. No issues atm but from what I have concluded it will throw a CEL without my tune because I have a N55 regardless of catted or catless. I could be wrong about this. I haven't seem any CELs but thats because I flashed it right after it got installed.

It is a hit or miss, these ECU are very sensitive no now one can guarantee you dont get a CEL

That being said, We sell quite a few Wagner N55 catted DP and they are quality products.
I recommend these DP to anyone who is looking for a catted N55 option

How would you compare it with the CPE catted DP? What has been your experience with CPE vs Wagner vs Cobb catted DPs? I see you sell all 3 of them.

Sounds like Dan_Q had a fitment issue.
Does the Wagner throw CEL less frequently than Cobb or CPE?
How does the noise compare between the three?

I am giving you my opinion based on our customers.
We never had fitment issues with Wagner.
We had a good number of customers run catted Wagner with no lights, as i said in my earlier post no DP will give you 100% guarantee

Sound should be very similar with all three DP.

Mike knows what he is talking about! The wagner looks exactly like the OEM. Fitment was excellent, you do need to move one of brackets on the mid pipe down a bit more but that is a easy fix. No lights and no issues.

Thanks for the feedback, that is very useful even if it is second hand from your customers. Getting direct comparisons on these things is next to impossible.

Brenn is an MA based tuner that does custom maps, similar to ProTuningFreaks, using Cobb.
