Hi.

Few questions:

1. Koni Sports are compatible with BMWPS yellow springs correct?

2. Are Koni Sports an overall upgrade compared to the BMWPS dampers?

3. Would Koni Sports result in a feeling of a firmer ride over bumps than BMWPS dampers? Currently my car's rear with BMWPS feels like there is too much spring action over uneven roads with bumps. Looking for a more solid feel there, not so much rear wiggle. I already have M3 subframe bushings and M arms/Megan toe arms.

Any information is greatly appreciated!

AFAIR FSDs are intended to match OEM dampers, so may not be ideal with BMWPS. FSDs would give a less firm ride than BMWPS dampers. I would not say FSDs were an upgrade over BMWPS. Just my five cents...

It would be hard to tell without a side-by-side. The FSDs are very high quality--we've had very good long-term results installing them. They also are a good bit cheaper than BMWPS shocks.

I think I meant to compare Koni Sports with BMWPS dampers instead of FSDs (so I updated my first post)

So I'm guessing you are using the BMWPS yellow springs with maybe the stock sport suspension dampers?
It seems that the BMWPS system (matching dampers and springs) would be the way to go...if you already have the yellow springs.

But I've also been thinking about the linear yellow BMWPS springs with the Koni sport (yellow) dampers. The adjustability of those Koni dampers might be a very good match with the BMWPS springs. Hmmm.

I've had that combo for 2 yrs. Great compromise between ride and handling. Make sure you get the matching bumpstops; they're shorter and firmer. The only thing you can't get seperate from the PS kit is the front anti roll bar, but I was able to buy one from a forum member who didn't want to install it

Sounds excellent. How much difference could you tell with the PS front anti roll bar? (I've seen that it's the same size at the front ZSP anti roll bar, but different shape and maybe a stiffer steel is used in the construction).

It's stiffer than the oe sport bar but I only felt a slight increase in roll resistance. Different shape and doesn't taper down at the ends but does still have the tapered down center section. M3 would be siffer; I use the M3 bushings which are alot firmer. Honestly the majority of handling improvement came from the springs and dampers

OK, thanks! I'll put the anti roll bar into the more "optional" category for now. If cheap enough to buy and install, then I might do it.
Rear subframe bushings are maybe more essential than the bar in the overall package (yes, another option high on the list).

Definately. And the front thrust arm bushings; either M3 or Meyle.

Gone ot; sorry op; just keep those PS dampers you installed until they're worn out imo better handing than fsd's and the sports probably aren't worth the $$ at this time.
