Congrats on the mileage OP. If you plan to keep it I'd spend the few $ and change trans and diff fluid. Should feel a noticeable difference when shifting. Guess the non turbo are much easier on plugs and n54 only last < 50k.

Not compared to the original miles monger!

I gave the E90 to my son a few months back, so he will have to break the 300,000 mile mark. He seems to think he will achieve it by the EOY - we'll see!

OK, I see your point, all though the 1994 E32 740i is 22 years old.

Well, I hope OP enjoys his car as much as we've enjoyed ours!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, going to have about 25 at the ranch house tomorrow...

Amazing:

- I'm a fan of replacing fluids and parts before they brake down, I've done only refreshing of the brake fluid not a full drain, just took out the fluid from the container and refilled with fresh one when I did it the fluid looked clean never the less I refreshed it. Would you say that I should perform a full flush?

By the way I drive a 325i, 2010 with 27,000 miles.

Ah, E32, but still a testament that most BMWs last well into their senior years. All of mine have so far.

Happy Thanksgiving.

The fluid needs to be flushed entirely from the system by opening the caliper bleed screws and forcing the fluid out.

Congrats! I'm just about to roll over 185k on my 2006. I used to be bummed that I didn't wait and buy an N54... but in hindsight I think I made the right decision. The N52 is a sweetheart, and doesn't get enough love.

It does from me. I love the engine so much I bought a 2nd one. Luckily I found a Z4 Coupe wrapped around it.

180k here. what a car.

hey anyone got any tips for getting the plastic engine cover back on for the 06 330i? pretty sure some grease monkey just ripped it off and bent the metal that holds the grommets slightly. Any fix for this? It keeps the oil filter lid from turning.

It's an aluminum bracket that holds the rubber grommets in place that the cover snaps into. Remove the cover, remove the bracket and re-bend back into shape. Or you can buy a replacement bracket.
