All I can say - the installation was such a big PITA and I was really dissapointed with the OC, as A LOT of cutting and trimming was needed, some parts of the OC needed to be cut off because of manufacturing failures, the hoses were way too stiff (I even thought that it would be impossible to install them, but we somehow managed to curl them), the OC was loose and wasn't holding in the bracket. If I knew it, I would've gone with ar desing OC.
But I've bought it, it's installed and here are the pics.
Great thread! Very informative. I'm happy I went with the ar design oil cooler, after seeing how difficult it was for you to make the install.

Thanks for your efforts!

P.S. What's next on your agenda?

Time for some updates.

This time - installation of Milltek fully catless resonated exhaust system.

Here's the package that arrived:

The weight of the box:

Content of the box:

The stock exhaust:

Firstly the stock exhaust was taken off:

Sock exhaust off:

Milltek:

Putting it on and adjusting was PITA...

I was a bit dissappointed with the quality of production. To be specific - the hangers were welded inaccurately, the exhaust was hitting the "v brace" when driving over bumps, resonators touch each other. So we took the car to a friend's shop and some of the problems were solved (by bending the hangers, making a spacer).

There resonators still touch each other. I don't know if this is the reason, but there's some drone and vibration between 1,5 and 2k rpm.

The thing that pisses me off is that it is impossible to make any space between the resonators... It's manufacturing fail.

Maybe try and wrap the resonators in some kind of heat resistant fabric.

It's strange, that fitment issue (space between resonators) is not eliminated. I always thought, that BMW is some kind of luxury cars and any noise or vibration, apart engine is not acceptable... but it can be fixed as well, it's possible to bend a little bit these pipes and weld them together, what would not let them vibrate and make noises.

to me that defeat's the purpose of purchasing that exhaust then. I would have personally sent it back and gave them the opportunity to send me back a fixed one or just get a different one.

good to see you back edo !! looking forward to see some awesome vids from you soon.

as for the installation of milltek, the 2 resonators should be touched each other.
I remembered mine fits perfect as well.

Thanks. I'm braking-in the engine now, so videos will have to wait
So, your resonators touch each other or not?

Nah... my installer even told me that fitment was decent.

but, the resonator will be pretty closed to the X bracket.
