Sat nav 2012 disc

Opinions please. Have an 07 e92 with prof sat nav. However eBay are doing discs with 2012 maps and updated hardware that include night mode, better 3d mapping etc.

Before I go and muck it up, I emailed them asking if it would fit my car and they it would providing I have a mk4 unit.

How do I know if I do and shoud I buy the upgrade?

I just bought an upgrade sat nav disc (don't think it has night mode) for 9.95 from ebay and it works a treat. It's the updated disc with the speed cameras.. I know it doesn't answer your question but not sure what the guy is one re: mk4 unit.

i got my 2012 disc from Russel (rusty) at http://www.satnavupgrades.co.uk/

its been working just fine for about 3 months now

Im reading this thread with interest as I need a new disk. Mine often stops working and the disk and dvd unit get very hot

Just got mine from Rusty too-seemed like there were too many different options on eBay. Works fine, although takes a little longer to load. Don't think there's a night mode though.

Much better than the Â£170 odd BMW wanted!
