Well, tried a car with the active stuff and that just seemed to pull left, so not sure what to think of the car in general.
I just reckon it is a bit of a dud all round to be honest, BMW pandering to the masses and forgetting why people loved them in the first place.

I had a similar experience on Saturday when looking at trading in my 335d. He made an offer and I thoroughly regret not walking out immediately although I did tell him I felt we were both wasting time. He proceeded to go back to the manager, bring the manager out, show me the value in Glasses Guide and admit his offer was 2.5k below that but apparently they spend £1000 on a warranty ( balls, as my extended warranty costs me £34 per month so how much less does a dealer pay ) and cars with 3 litres engines need 2k spent to prepare them for sale apparently. A long chat ensued about how my car needs nothing as its immaculate, doesn't need service or tyres or anything. Then showing me lists of what they have spent on cars in the past preparing them to shock me which was totally pointless but seemed to ignore my argument that they assessed those cars and in 99% of cases would have known what they needed and subsequently knocked down their offer.

They did in the course of the discussion revise their offer but I still left with the impression that they are trying to be robbing B******s. Clearly they are used selling to people who haven't a notion what their car is worth and just fall in love with the new one in the showroom. Immediately after leaving I had an offer of 2k above theirs from another independent trader who hadn't even seen my car. Could still sell to him and buy the new one of these other guys but the bad taste is still there in my mouth after Saturday that I may not be too keen to do business with them.

He also looked at me as if I was mad when I pointed out the guide price was for a car with 50k, mine has 38k and therefore requires some adjustment. His words were " we have never done that, don't know what you mean".

They claimed they would put my car up for 16950 which sounds a bit on the low side and bet once they would have it they would suddenly decide to put another few grand on the asking price.
