Let us know what you figure out on the BSM - it can't be blown because the car has electricity, right? It's just an all or nothing deal if I read this right. I'd take the tune completly off as well; you can sort out the map stuff later. Let's just get the car to be "normal" again.

Yes it's all these on going issues and unknowns which bring me to ask questions. I initially thought my bst was good. But with it acting up like this, I'm thinking it didn't fully sever the connection. I'd take the tune off but I just can't bring myself to believe it's the cause for the overheating... It's just really easy to blame it with all these variables. That's why my thread was initially about the procede. Now I don't know what it's about... I've just got issues

This is troubleshooting 101, undo what you did, if things don't return to normal, your in no man's land so have BMW repair the car. Once the car is back to 100% try again with the procede.

You run Stage 3 at default and your golden....just make sure you change the 02 modifier to suit your car whereas it doesn't throw cat efficiency codes

Nick
The problem is that the car won't even start. The last week it was getting progressively worse. The battery terminal was moving around a little more. It wasn't even the terminal connector, it was the little metal piece covered by red plastic on the terminal connector, but to the side of it... very hard to explain but it moves around and I think that is the actual part that becomes severed. Anyway, it would not make a good connection and my car would only click when I try to start it. I'd have to get out of my car and move it around a couple times to get my car to start. Then it got to a point where I had to move it around like 10 times before the car would start. And now last night I did it like 10 times and gave up. So basically my car won't make a good connection with the battery to start and I'm sure it won't charge well either so there is no point. Once I fix the battery, I will see if the overheating problems remain. If they do, I will go backwards and remove the procede. No point in going backwards yet when I still have a known problem to fix.

Instead of troubling yourself over this, why don't u send us your used procede unit and let us refurb it and make sure everything is as it should be? I don't know the state of it when you bought it. But by the sounds of it, it needs help.

I will definately consider your offer and I'll send you a pm to further understand the details, the peace of mind would be needed. However I am still in denial for the time being that the procede is causing my troubles. I believe it is related to a couple of known issues with my car.

by? Try BUY.

I'm sure all used tunes are a complete nightmare as all people that spent their hard earned money on them originally subsequently poured water over them when they removed them from their $45,000 vehicles.

Great spelling, superb analysis.

Properly used, installed and handled there is no reason to avoid buying a used tune. The same could be said about buying a used car. I'm willing to bet many people here have used cars also... His comment wasn't helpful at all. Trolling.

I just replaced the positive battery cable. $170 part that happened to be in stock... Car runs like a champ now. no issues at all. Just got done driving it in circles and a couple pulls seeing 15 psi for about 30 minutes. Heater blows hot and ran real good.

Proceed working? CHECK!
Car working? CHECK!

Culprit? Faulty positive battery cable.

Also, the guy at my dealer informed me the BST is actually the negative terminal. It costs more than the positive terminal also.

Coolant was fine. The overheating problem must have stemmed from the battery cable, insufficient power and who knows what else due to the battery. I had removed that red box on the battery which also had some sort of contribution to that issue possibly. Electric water pump + electrical issues = ^^ This.

Regardless, drove the car to work today... Completely fine. Now, I just ordered the CF amuse rep trunk. And I was trying to avoid any further expenses...
