NEED INFO on E92 M3 PRUCHASE - DC AREA

Hey guys,

I live in the DC area and am looking to order the 08 E92 (JB exterior, FR interior, technology package). I've gone to 3 or 4 local dealerships and generally speaking I've heard the best reviews for VOB BMW out of Rockville, MD.

Can anyone provide any feedback on pricing, service, delivery? One guy at SilverSpring BMW tried to tell me some BS about delivery for the M3 being 6 from date of order, whereas VOB BMW says 6-8 weeks. Has anyone else had such a big gap in delivery?

Also, given the high demand has anyone found a dealership thats even willing to negotiote price at all?

Thanks guys for your help.

You might have more luck posting this in the Mid-Atlantic Forum, but I can say that if the dealer has to order the vehicle (i.e., it's not in their inventory) the ordering process takes 6-8 weeks.

If you haven't tried Passport in Marlow Heights, give them a shot. Tena Howard was my CA. Got a good price and a smooth and easy transaction for an EDP car.

There are several threads on dealers in the DC area in the Mid-Atlantic forum. In short, go to Passport BMW in MD. Next best is BMW of Sterling in VA.

I was at Sterling yesterday, and I swear i remember seing a jet black/fox red combo on the lot. Call them up and double check, but my CA was giving me a tour of the lot for about an hour, so I could be wrong.
