SMG was a motor sports gearbox only.

There are a few rare non-Ms with SMG, its true. I didn't realize the 530i and 525i (with N52) in outside markets were available with Sport Package and SMG. Now I have so many questions... lawd. BTW Its not the SMG III from the E60 M5, its the SMG II technology from the E46 (there were a few E46 non-Ms with SMG).

Im trying to decide if this kit is worth it. I got a 525xi. Wonder how that would feel or hold up with the AWD system.

I REALLY want to turbo mine and make 350 HP. that is a perfect amount of hp for me honestly. I dont want to get into another car payment, id rather get a project car and have that running while i do something to the N52. I just think that 5k price tag for the amount of horses you get is a bit crappy. But w.e I dont really want a N54, id love to frankenstain a N52 and maybe a N54 motor together somehow.

Really torn between to actually bite the bullet and get a 550i E60 or just keep my 525xi and play around with that until i actually have money to go out and buy myself a M4. I just graduated college and ever since that car came out i kept telling myself that will be the car i go out and buy one day. So yea, i got a few years to go until i can get a M4 LOL or event a E92 m3. I cant stand being stock... I need to do something to my car.

Also wondering if there would be a way to get more power out of the engine just like and additional 10 or 30 horses with the supercharger. Like maybe a different tune or combine the stage 3 intake mainfold with it. Not 100% sure.
