Kudos for tacking this project yourself! I personally wouldn't know where to start, and i love diy projects, but this is hardcore...atleast for me. ;p

Thanks. This is a bit much for me as well. I've been researching and printing out some of the diy to help me as I go.

Awesome setup! I'm a firm believer in suspension mods, as they give the most noticeable performance gains out of any other mod for the amount of money spent. I bet your car is now extremely tight on cornering. I'm actually quite jealous! The suspension setup that you have is exactly what i'll be doing to my e90. Great choice in parts. You sir, have great (and expensive) taste!

do you mind linking the DIY's you're using? Also, where did you get the bentley manual?

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes we take for granted the extra effort it takes to post details and stopping work to take picts. Nice work, sorry to hear about the SSK.

Thanks for the support guys. I will start up again first thing in the morning. I manage to put the drive shaft back on yesterday, so I will start with installing the new rear shocks then re-installing the exhaust and tidy up the rear and start the front. I took Monday and Tuesday off of work to finish this project hopefully all goes well. I will update the post as I go and if you need any pics or have questions feel free to ask.

I will gather all the links to the DIY's and info threads I used and list them at the end of the project. I'm finding more as I go. The Bently manual is very handy, I got all the torque specs and helps when removing items. also real oem is great for looking at the exploded view of parts. helps you see how things look when you take them apart

What are you using to support the rear subframe? Looks like two hydraulic jacks?

I plan on doing this work myself sometime in the near future so I'm interested in how you're managing that lump.

2 jacks and 1 jack stand for support. 1 jack was centered on the pumpkin the other one was on the right and a jack stand on the left. The center jack carries all the weight. the other jack was used as a support since you will be rocking it back and forth when uninstalling and reinstalling the bushings. the jack stand and 2nd jack were not holding any weight really. you can use 2 jack stands on each side if you wanted one thing I would have done different is gotten a transmission jack, this should make it easier. the jack pad was barely enough, and I had my doubts but once I lowered it it felt ok so I proceeded. also the e brake cables help the front end from diving foward but once you have the jack stand are in you can center or offset them to help the rocking. but don't leave any weight on the cables.

one more thing when I was lifting the subframe I moved the 2nd jack to the front of the diff to help bring it back up level.

update:
Rear trunk liner and rear shocks are in. 1st problem so far I can't find the lower nut and washer for the Bilstien shocks. not sure I remember getting them or not. so I'm off to the hardware store.

home stretch . the front is really simple. you might want to just align the car roughly with strings afterwards but no biggie vs what u went through in the rear

ok driver side complete moving on to the pass side I grabbing some grub and then post the progress pics. The front coilover was a pain i spent an hour just trying to get it into place the arms were very easy, they swapped out in about 20 min.

Ok. Almost there I think I see the light. moving on to the pass side. I hope the pass front doesn't take me 2 hrs like the last one.

awesome! question....those rear M3 arms, are the bushings stiffer and any additional negative camber gains?

The stock are rubber bushings the M3 version can move more freely. yes this adds about .75 more camber. I'll double check this to confirm. I'm also installing vorshlag camber plates so for me I opted to go this route for the better bushings in the M3 arms, but the extra camber won't hurt either.

Did you need both arms to increase camber or just the top one? also can you link or provide me the part #? thanks a bunch . Ive been meaning to source the least expensive solution to increase rear camber hoping this would suffice. How much did those arms run?
