There are some recommended hardware for the Stage 2 to see optimum results:

* A good front mounted IC such as the Code3 Performance unit (way too $$$)

* High flow replacement panel filter or a high-flow intake kit (easy enough)

* Cat-back exhaust (my dealer would void my warranty before the garage door closed behind me)

The Stage 1 looks nice, up to 44hp and 37 ft/lb gain

- Up to 80hp and 80 ft/lb gain on Stage 2

Only thing is, I'm making 44hp off my JB+ and it was 1/2 the price....If I could get Stage 2 I would, but not for the price of the IC and Cat back...

Nebster, am I reading into all of this correctly? I'd love some input
Tommy how do you know you are making 44hp of the JB+? It might be 44 at the crank. I have the LET tune for my 328, those guys are really good. Ben (Nebster) has the tune on his 335 and he literally burns through 1st gear if he isn't careful. The hp that the LET tune added (44hp) is actually 44whp, so its all usable power.

I'd take a look into it, talk to Tony and Ben about the specifics. The best part is that its completely invisible to the dealership.

I'm sure Tommy didn't measure his 44hp gain at the crank. I would bet the 44whp on the flash is more reliable though.

That's a good point, I guess the easiest way will be to take a ride with Ben sometime, if we don't keep having these meets when I'm out of town

The icing on the cake was when I showed up to get my software updated (among other things), he tells me when I get there that they don't know how to do it, and therefore won't do it for me. So sitting in the waiting room, I run into someone I went to high school with and I'm all "what r u doing here" and he's all "picking up my 335 after getting the software update". I considered driving to the nearest establishment that sells both gasoline and matches, instead I settled for calling my SA a douchebag in front of the super hot cashier he was hitting on and calling him for the next two weeks with things like
-Why won't my car go past 155mph?
-Does BMW maintenance at Perillo really cost less than potato chips and cupcakes?

End of the story, can't say enough nice things about their sales people, can't find anything nice to say about their service... As soon as my warranty runs out I'm strapping a f'in jet pack to my whip

who was picking up their 335 from GBS?
get them on the boards!

You can't switch dealers? Do you have to go to the BMW dealer where you bought your car?

I don't use them unless it's something that'll take more than a day (loaners are only free at the dealership you bought from). Patrick is right by where I work and they are the jam for sure

no you can but in Tommy's case, its either Fields or Perillo for convenience (because of where he lives).

Tommy, start going to Laurel in Westmont. Their service guys have always been good to me, most even stop and chat with me about the mods on my car and whatnot.

EDIT: I didn't know you work in Schaumburg. Thats pretty good however I never liked Patrick cuz they are WAY too snooty (at least their sales guys).

It's SO nasty, the only car I've ever been in that pulls like that thing is my old man's 911 turbo...Besides exhaust, sick pulleys and body kit (I can't remember what else, but those 3 stick out)

I thought Laurel IS Westmont...?

I've actually been thinking of switching over to them. Right now, I'm at BJ. Went in on Tuesday for a flat left rear, so they plugged it while they had to order the tire and wait for it. Called me yesterday to ask me why I wasn't in yet (they had told me they would call when it came in). So, this morning I get in the car to drive there, and I've got a flat right rear too. So, they only have one tire, and I need two. Guess who has to go back on Monday again for a couple hours?

Not only that, but the car failed walkaround with some pretty unsightly scratches on the hood either from the wash, or from when they opened the hood to top off the washer fluid (which I didn't ask them to do). My SA was cool about everything, very courteous and apologetic, but don't most dealerships at least stock a couple of their most popular tire sizes????? Anyway, after spending 6 hours there already this week, I have to go back on Monday for a tire change (which took 2+ hrs today), and a trip to their body shop to see if buffing the scratch out is a possibility.... All because of a nail in the road...

Yeah I've never dealt with their sales guys, but no joke they have like 4 or 5 techs and or SAs that are in their 20s and cool as Billy D Williams...

That blows man, that's exactly why I always tell them not to go near the carwash with my car. I always get the craziest looks when I do the "walkaround" after picking my car up!

hey if you talk to him, have him look into LET's tune for the C63, they did an E55 when I was there getting mine and got like 75whp out of it or so. LET are the kings of MB performance.
