So I'm having issues with this setup. After I plug everything in the lights (low beams and fogs) do not function at all and the car throws an error.

I've tried both assemblies on the passenger side headlight ( easier to access) and I have been unable to get them to work. With just my headlight plugged in (no error removal harness) the lights function fully but I get an error.... Whats going on here?

Parachute's harness works. Your issue may be one of these three: (1) the harness is defective, (2) you installed it incorrectly, or (3) your xenon wiring is incorrect or not done properly.

What error are you having? Do a "Check Control" and take a picture of the error.

hum so you got your to work? i dont have access to a camera at the moment but im getting the red warning light with a car on the lift and a few yellow warning light with a pic of a headlamp as if the bulb were blown out... they keep beeping every minute or so when i drive so its hard to ignore, im positive my wiring is correct so maybe i have a faulty harness or something... seems against the odds tho. im so frustrated with this problem im willing to sell the car and get into a new one

Yes, mine is fine since I installed his harness a year ago. The error your describing is exactly the same error i had BEFORE I installed his error-removal harness.

damn i wish i could get this problem solved so what are you thinking? faulty harness? i mean the install isnt hard at all one cable is + one is - the other goes to pin 3 and the final wire goes to the disconnected wire from pin 3. Then i put the dummy bulbs on and started her up... same errors

did you put the dummy bulbs on the harness or the original fog harness?, they shoulg go on the original fog harness, and connect your fog lights to my harness, hope that helps.

Is it necessary to install the shutter tap when doing the wiring conversion for the headlights. I didnt do this and I am getting no low beams or fogs at all with this assembly installed. Without the assembly the low beams and fogs work but I get the warning.

Did you use OEM pin contacts for the new wires? If not then that could possibly be one of your problems.

I also live in NJ. One of these weekends if I'm home and free I can help you look at it if you are willing to drive to my place. I may also have extra pin contacts you could use.

Not using OEM connectors won't provide solid/good contacts. I won't be surprised if this is what's causing your problems even if you did the DIY and all the connections correctly.

Unfortunately your conversion won't work error free if you don't use parachute's harness.

I'm not looking and won't accept any kind of payment. I would just help if I can. I'm not an expert though but since I did my own conversion I might have some ideas on how to identify the issue. I'm in Robbinsville NJ 08691. I might have some time next weekend.
