I really dont think this matter as they are held on with clamps so there should have been no cutting of the 335is exhaust
They are welded on a 335is just like every other E92. So somebody had to have cut them off the donor car.

Pretty good. Definitely not overly loud, but a nice step up from the factory mufflers. Sounds totally stock at freeway speed with the windows up. Has a nice tone, too. No rasp or other nasty sounds that I can notice so far.

I'll see if I can get a cold start video tomorrow morning.

Shit! I wanted to get this IS exhaust, dealer wanted 1300, but last minute backed out and opted for the dinan, but now I'm concerned those huge ass tin can mufflers are gonna peep out from underneath and look like crap... If I don't like it, will be up for sale and will be getting the "IS"

Umm maybe this is where my problem is because my axle back was held on with clamps

The amount of ss can that shows is pretty minimal and in my opinion has a nice aggressive look to them over the stock look. Did you get the black tips? If so, even better appearance.

They all come welded from the factory, but when we need to replace a muffler under warranty, they get clamped on. We've never had an issue using the BMW-supplied clamps, but I'm not a big fan of them.

Out of curiosity, were your mufflers still welded together at the H-pipe area that connects them under the bumper?

I paid about half that for mine, but I get a really good deal on OEM parts. I like the factory look under the car, too.

Yes they were still welded together it was just clamped to the mid pipes so they were replaced at somepoint? I will have to check with a dealer is there anyway to see all the previous warranty work on the car?

Any video would be appreciated. Even if it's just a 30 second video of a warm start and some revving taken with a phone

Awesome thank you. How is it in terms of rasp while under WOT? That's my biggest fear. One of my favorite things about my current VRSF exhaust is that it is a smooth tone that doesn't sound like most N54's since most rasp. Hoping the E90 resonator helps prevent that

Doesn't seem to have any rasp that I've noticed so far. I posted a new thread with the video, but here it is. It sounds louder than it really is on the video. Plus, the flap is disconnected for now. Ill get some driving videos later.

Oh that's definitely not too bad at least in comparison to my VRSF. I think that thing is pretty loud on cold starts. Whenever you have time driving or just simple revving videos would be appreciated. Thanks again

Here's bunch of videos with my car. I also had downpipes and RB's so the sound is a little different but by not that much. When the car is cold it's LOUD.

How much did the rb turbo upgrade come out to? Turbos+installation? Will the ecu read error codes on those turbos? Sorry for the thread jack.

He has the "is" exhaust, but I'm not sure about the secondary cats. He also has the E92 X-pipe, where I have the E90 resonator.

Any chance you have time to get a standing rev clip? Mofo's vids are great but as you pointed out you have a resonator and he does not

Don't worry, I'll get some. I'm getting ready to leave for Airstrip Attack, though, so it might not be this weekend.

Did you wind up having time to get any clips?
