Anyone want to make a trip to Marion drag strip this Friday? It is in the middle of no where and a small time track but they are very lenient there. No helmet needed, can have passengers, do not need long pants, and they are a friendly group of people. Just took my IS down the track for the first time this past friday and I'm hooked!

BMW performance exhaust officially installed. My Active Autowerke exhaust is up for grabs if anyone is interested. I'll be cleaning it up and posting on the for sale section.

If anyone's interested:

Normally, nitrogen inflation is a total ripoff. Byer's Airport Subaru has a good deal going on:

Just tell them what inflation pressures you want in the front/rear. It took me about 30 minutes of waiting. The system they have is fairly cool - it sucks out all the air/moisture about 3 times before filling it to its final value.

I actually really liked it. Sounded super aggressive. After installing RB's, it was just a little too loud in cabin for me. I even added Vibrant resonators to it which made it sound even better IMO (willing to sell with/without Vibrant resonators). I need to clean it up a bit and take some pics, but PM me if interested.

Thanks!

This is the correct way to do a nitro fill. I have been doing it this way for years. I usually only need to put some more nitro in around winter time. I just need to bring them a portable air tank to fill.

Hahaha! Yeah sorry about that. He was coming out with food while I was driving in. Thought it would have been weird to snap a pic. Interesting combo to say the least.

All you need is an Interior Trim Removal kit. And just be patient and careful. You can purchase kits on ebay, there are tons of them.

I thought it had red wheels. But yeah that's it. Notice how I reserved judgment earlier. Now that it's out there, about sums it up!

Will you swap my trim for me?

Haha I'm not afraid to judge

What kind of trim did you get? Its really not too difficult to do if you have the right tools to do it. I also dont want to take the blame if I happen to break your trim lol

Removing interior trim isn't hard at all, just takes A LOT of patience and some tough finger tips. Just be sure to take your time, move along the piece as you pry out - don't try to pull the entire piece out from one spot.

My problem is the patience side of it. Not knowing what I'm doing, wondering if I'm pulling in the right direction, etc. etc. WILL cause me to lose my patience. I know it will. But I can understand you guys not wanting to take the responsibility. You don't even want to know what BMW off of Stewart quoted me. EAG jacked up my ashtray cover last time so I guess I'd go to them as a last resort, but I just don't really want to tackle this one on my own.

I have the OEM aluminum trim and I recently wrapped my OEM wood trim with 3M's matte grey aluminum. In some light it looks exactly the same as the aluminum but in most light it definitely darkens up the interior...which is what I was going for.

Yeah, not a fan of that color choice either... On the plus side I doubt that any cops will pull them over since it blends in with the nearly dead grass on the side of the highway.

If any of you locals are interested, I'm finally gonna post my Active Autowerke exhaust for sale.

Exhaust is still in really good condition! It could use a little bit of stainless steel polish, but honestly no one sees it anyway, so maybe just on the tips.

Everything is in good working order, welds are strong and everything. My car is lowered, so there is a dent and some scratches on my new Vibrant resonators but it does not change the functionality or hinder performance whatsoever. Just as an FYI, after my RB Turbo upgrade and tune, I made 475whp with this exhaust on. It sounds awesome and I'm definitely going to miss this exhaust. The exhaust tips have some minor scratches, one is about an inch long...tried to take some pics of it. Other than that, its good. All hardware included. Willing to sell with or without the Vibrant resonators. I still have the original pipes that can be clamped back in place.

Asking $950 with resonators or $900 without OBO.

On to the pics!

Awesome. My (i think factory) battery abruptly died today. It's the light grey 720CCA/ 90Ah model. It seems that the smaller 94R is going to be my best bet without having to code in a higher capacity battery. I'm sort of thinking about just doing that and going AGM since it's a minimal price difference. Are any of you Columbus-area folks that can code in an AGM battery should I go that route? I'm out east in Pataskala.

Edit: This looks like my winner. The CCA is higher, but the Reserve Capacity is nearly the same. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/duracel...prod3590267.ip
