Hi Guys

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of genuine M3 mirrors.
They come with a 3 pin connector.
Do any of you know if an E91 from aug 2006 has 3 pins or 4 pins in the connector?

Standard mirrors for pre-lci e90/91 have 5 pins in them. 2 for the heated mirror and 3 for the swivel motor.

It sounds like the M3 mirrors are on the 3 pin LIN bus; power, data and ground. I presume they are also power folding.

thnx for your answer. I'm also told that with a mirror package I should have the 3 pin LIN bus.
Mirror package should make it possible to make powerfold in the car and from the keyfob, which I can.

And I have powerseats with memory, so according to your other tread, I should have the LIN bus connection already?

Yes you should, as long as the M3 mirrors line up and will physically fit then it should be a simple swap.

if your current passenger mirror tilts when you switch rear drive - you have LIN bus and can install M3 mirrors without rewiring

Nice. Thnx for the answers. I do have tilt on reverse.
And the mirrors are from an E90 which have the same doors as my E91, so it should be a direct fit :-)
I'll pull the trigger on them then :-)

Excellent, sounds like a much easier job than installing the LIN bus wires from scratch!
