N55 - Turbo/Tune Upgrade Help
I am a little dazed and confused and need some clear insight. At present, I am running an otherwise stock car with the Dinan Stage II tune. I have been very happy with the tune but have very high milage (180K) for a 2011 335i as I have done allot of highway driving in the past. The amount of driving has declined allot and will stay that way.
If I look at "upgrading" the stock turbo and going with a Cobb type tune while still using 91 or 94 octane gas, which way should I go and what exactly should I look to build out without breaking the bank on this high mileage car. I plan to keep this car for at least another five years. Thanks,

Charge pipe is the first thing, then do the Cobb with a protune or JB4. Downpipe will be the biggest bang for the buck, then FMIC. Stage 1 turbo is great and allows the car to pull good to redline. It feels like the turbo the car should have came with from the factory. If you are looking for more power, then I would hold off and see what stage 2 brings us.
