I am in So-Cal as well, more south orange county.
Sigh. But you're a one man show.

LOL. I was guilty like you for a while there. Some of us are still old fashioned I suppose.

Looking forward to meeting you. Perhaps at Bimmerfest?

Oooh, very nice then!

Yes we will probably meet in the near future I'm sure!

I have been tuning and building IS300's for many years. Custom cylinder heads, race built engines, custom electronics and standalone systems designed to work with the stock ECU with no codes or faults and much more. Still doing IS300's, Supra's and now have added the N54 based cars to the line-up. N54 has been much easier since it's already turbo and the system does a lot of work itself, but it's been fun. My own IS300 had 700+rwhp on 100 oct, and 540+ on straight 91.

This is a risk with open source style flash tuning. You have shade-tree "tooners" posing as professions online and taking in suckers. IMHO visit the tuning shop to examine the facilities and meet with the tuner ahead of time to avoid being taken. Make sure they have full liability insurance in case they blow your motor so there is some recourse.

Here you go. The Dinan code missing CEL.

The third is the "Maximum Relative Filling" map - what people would call the boost map.

The fourth is the "Intercooler Backpressure" map.

The last is the mapped turbo choke line.

I can raise the boost until the turbos self-destruct if I want to.

I don't want to.

I'll leave that for someone else to do, using Shark Edit - LOL.
There you go. Now there's the type of stuff I've been wanting to see, not a mouse pointer shooting around opening a bin file. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate his work, but seeing the results/data is far more interesting.

That said, I echo the feelings of a lot of people in here. Many of us are thrilled with the currently available tune options. I don't doubt you have produced something good as well. Market it as that. Don't come in here shooting remarks at things we are all well and happy with so far. If your product is so much better, let the features and results speak for themselves and I'm sure you will find customers. Swinging around unsubstantiated reasons why your tune is so much better isn't going to help anyone. Like I said, it sounds like you have a product you're happy with. Sell it as that.

And having said all that, I think there will always be a place for piggybacks. Especially with all the features out, on the radar, and beyond

Yup. As with any very small tuner, unless I can read their software and see their parameters, I'll continue to pay on customized hardware (a la, piggyback with good results, custom OBDII burner with reputable results eg. Cobb Accessport, etc.)

Just a quick update... I've received several messages inquiring about mail-in flashes and I'm happy to report that we WILL be offering this service in the future, but need to work out a few logistical issues first to ensure the fastest possible turnaround time.

Thanks, Bubbles, for posting the 'code missing' BT screenshot of a Dinan tune. For peace of mind, I did a BT readout of a DME Tune with 359 miles on it. The results are below.

Speaking of BT code scans, DME Tune will be offering a free code scan 'n clear service for anyone wondering if they have hidden codes or needs codes cleared.

Really? Is this for anyone or just for customers prior to installing your flash? Cuz I'm definitely curious as to some of the codes i've thrown.....They've been sporadic and in weird conditions every once in a while....

Yep. This is a free service for anyone, customer or not.

Customers, of course, also get a scan prior to the flash to ensure there aren't any pre-existing problems with the vehicle.

iv been trying to decide on a tune for months now and when i came across the thread i was pretty excited to see what DME has to offer. BUT DAMN this thread is boring ass shit like always lol. ppl always gotta say something and reading a thread like this gets real fucken old. (im a slow reader so this wasted about 20mins of my time). i aint going to preach about who did what wrong and whose right. i just wana know exactly what this new flash can do and how efficient it is.

p.s. if your really that pissed about him bashing on your piggyback tunes just go knocking at his door and handle it lol, cause i dont think the man was trying to start shit with other tuners. "IT ALL BUSINESS"

Every thread with seemingly useful information is nullified because, according to every self-proclaimed expert, no one else knows shit, therefore invalidating every post in every thread. It would be nice if people didn't talk out their asses. I'm not pointing any fingers, but damn, someone must be if everyone disagrees, yet at the same time everyone is right.

Anyway, I'd like to see stage 3 please.
out of the 8 pages of jabbering this is about the only thing anyone said worth quoting.

then there was this too.

it's like this:

Step 1: Cut a hole in a box
Step 2: I think you see where I am going.

Say what you are going to do, do it, post the results. Let the work stand for itself.

Awesome - that's a great thing to offer and I'm sure it will be a huge help to those in your area!

Commiserating on other posters commiserating is the height of hypocrisy added to me highlighting your whiny-ass post by whining myself. Does it ever end??
