Cool thanx guy
I posted some more dirt on the Charcoal filter saga with pics and my trip to the dealer.
Let me know if you have any ideas. I could really use some throttle respose. I cant escape the fealing that filter is bogging down the air flow.

Take care

I think I'll pull the filter out when it gets warmer. I cant immagine that BMW will find it, and if they will, that they will do something about it. I'll just say I got it like that.

if you are going to keep your stock radio then you need to get a hi/lo converter and tap into your speaker inputs..(can be done at the factory amp in trunk) this allows you to connect the RCAs...for remote wire..people have ran a wire to there rear cig lighter or you can you use a low voltage trigger. run your power wire to your battery and run a ground. i'm not sure exactly what the wire colors are..i dnt know what kind of sound sytstem you have logic 7 or not. but i have logic 7 also trying to hook up a amp..i will most likely end up testing out the wire colors i posted above to see if those are the rear speakers becuase no one has confirmed they are..i will let you know my findings when i get a chance..

putting in subs and amp is easy. Splice in the Wires PRE-AMP that run the rear deck speaker, Under the trunk cover when you lift near the back by the seat tap into the blue wire, that is your trigger wire. in bmw everything is easy because everything is located in the rear.

A diagram for the fog lights would be nice so i can figure out a way to wire the fogs so you can use them independently instead of either if the parking lights are on or lights are on.

you have to buy a hi/lo converter. i did a quick search and i find this link that explains it http://www.installer.com/hilo/ ...you would tap this hi/lo into your front or rear speaker wires..must do rear if you have nav..you would tap the front left and front right or vice versa in the rear. this gives you the rca inputs you need for your aftermarket amp. you also need to buy a amp kit (includes power wire, ground wire, remote wire, RCAs) you need to a run a power wire from your amp to the positive side of your battery..connect the ground wire from amp to sumthing metal in the car..(you can use a existing bolt if there is or create one) MAKE SURE TO clean it up (scrape off any paint) you are almost done now. only thing is to run remote wire and the speaker wire from the amp to your sub. for the remote wire, you connect that to switched 12V (accersory wire) test with voltmeter, gives out 12volts when car is turned on..and rears 0 when car is off. not exactly sure if you car has a switched 12V i know the cars with iDrive do not have one that is easy to get to. i attached diagram i drew up really quick for another friend. not very clear but it can pictures make it a little easier to understand.

Please make a new thread for it with the request in it. This is to potentially avoid the same question over and over again.

Make sure the title is clear so when someone searches they can find it.
ie: Request: Sun Visor Wiring Diagram

Please send me a PM with the thread so that I can easily find it and post your request...

EDIT: I made it bold since everyone was having trouble following the directions...

The DVD for the WDS is currently at my house and I'm at my apartment 350 miles away. Needless to say I cannot get it now. I can try and see if I burned two copies...
