This is from another forum:

Catonsville Sunoco on 6324 Baltimore national Pike (RT 40) has "98 octane" on the pump but the guy says it's really 100 octane but they can't list 100 on the pump. It's unleaded and costs $4.19/gal."

Place in Baltimore called "Hob's"on 7115 North Point Road sells 4 race gases:
Unleaded 100 which can be pumped directly into the car $4.50 gal
Purple 110 octane $4.50 gal
Blue 112 Octane $6.00 gal
Red 116 Octane $7.50 gal

Russells Sunoco which is Exit 100 off I-95 at the corner of Rt40 and Rt 272 in North East, MD.
They have the 100 octane unleaded for $4.97 gal"

Finally, a thread that is right up my alley. I've been searching for race gas within driving distance for like 4 months now...let me see how far Cantonsville is from me

Are you near any of these places to check them out personally?

Maybe Spool and I can make a trip to check it out.

I'm 7,000 miles away right now but will be back in a couple months time (so I cant physically check these places out right now!). I literally have nothing better to do than compile a list, I'll start editing my original post as of now when I find more locations (with relatively recent information).

If you guys find/know of places tell me and I'll edit the OP.

Sweetness!

Anybody want to split an order??????????

I just spoke with the guy at A&M Motorsports, a VP Racing vendor.

I'm thinking about ordering a 5 gallon pail or a 15 gallon drum for myself but can split a larger one if anybody is interested, the sizes run 5, 15, 30, or 54 gallons. Not sure on the exact pricing, but the cheapest was the "Streetblaze" at around $8.00/gallon.

http://www.vpracingfuels.com/vp_01_fuels.html#unleaded

It seems as if he doesn't keep much in stock, if anything at all, but he did mention that he was heading to Summit Point this week and will be able to bring back orders over the weekend (9/6).

Paypal, credit cards, or cash. If anybody is up for it let me know.

Not certain they are still in business, but there is a place right off Church Rd & 28 in Sterling. I remember purchasing anything between 100 unleaded, and C16.

Just an update, the Catonsville location no longer exists. And I mean no longer exists, i.e. the station is not there anymore.

Edit: Schrute, you beat me to it!!!

Yup, Checked out the Catonsville Sunoco yesterday and it's gone! So I doubled back west on Rt. 40 and hit the Sunoco just past the Patapsco. While filling with 93 Ultra I spoke with the station owner who tells me that it's illegal to pump race gas in MD. He didn't seem like a rocket scientist but seemed certain about it. I skipped the quiz about why, when, etc.

Has anyone actually pumped higher than 93 octane gas into their car recently in Md?

Guys, 2 weeks ago I bought a can of octane booster at speed unlimited over by andrews AFB. It was $25 a can and it raised 1/2 tank of 93 octane to 101 octane.

Oh, the product I bought was Torco

Oh also, you can buy higher octane gas there if you want but its really expensive and they only dispense it into cans, and you must bring your own can or pay waaaaay to much for a can there.
