quick catless downpipe question

quick question people always say the rattle is amplified after you throw on catless downpipes how does that happen i dont think they cause any damage but the sound is just amplified right? so if you dont have rattle and you throw them on you wont all of a sudden get the rattle right? thanks guys

The downpipes do not cause wastegate rattle. The sound only becomes louder due to the fact that there isnt' a cat to muffle the sound.

If you don't have the rattle before you put them on I don't think you will have it afterwards.

Correct, I didn't "get" any rattle whatsoever after installing the AR catless DP’s. It will come at some mileage though, especially with early aggregates having the thinner WG-axle/bushing.

However, any sound that you may already have (but never noticed) will now be audible.
