New brakes, is all OEM brake/rotors for $610 the best bang for the buck?
I'm still using the OEM brakes/rotors at 49k but I'm anticipating needing them replaced within the next year. I have no problems with the setup now. Sure the brake dust is there but I dont' mind it, gives that gunmetal look :P
I priced some other options out and they all come close to $600 for pads/rotors for all four corners. I've read good things about the OEM, but if there are better setups out there for the same price or lower, I'm all for it. Also, do I need new sensors for all four corners? None of the sensors have been "activated" yet so would I be able to re-use them if I replace the brakes before they are? |

Why the assumption that you need rotors? My first brake job was done by an Indy at 59K miles. Rotors were checked and measured and deemed within limits. So only the OEM pads and sensors were replaced.(With OEM replacements) I didn't change rotors till the second brake job at ~105K miles.

$600 seems very reasonable for pads and rotors on all 4 corners. I agree with measuring the rotors though. If they aren't out of spec (or close) you can get away with not replacing them.

If u dont mind spending the extra money for the new rotors do it! I changed my front rotors when I did my pads just to have everything new. The rears i only changed the pads bc the dealer changed the rotors about 2 yrs ago

I prefer to change rotors with new pads. I like the alu hat front rotors from the Z4is for only $30 more per.

Almost 150k here! My fronts lasted 80k but the rotors were done for because I let the pad ware to the back plate.... oops. Rears lasted 50k (pads only) because the cruise control only uses the rear brakes and I use it a lot in hilly areas. Second set of rears lasted all the way 'til 130k. I'm about to replace the fronts again. The computer says 5400mi to go.
Bcube has a 335 and I am thoroughly impressed. You must have found a gem! Hold on to that car becaue they're few and far between. I heard if you drive 335s like you stole them they fair a bit better.
