Chrome Touch Up Paint For E90 Grill?

Any one know of a good touch-up/spray paint to fix the chrome that has been faded or removed from the grill? I was thinking of getting a can of Dupli-Color Chrome but review say it doesn't hold up well.

You can sand the center section down to the black plastic. Or just upgrade to black grills.

Also most people just sell the stock grills for cheap if you want to keep them chrome.

There are no good chrome paints available in spray can. I've tried them all over the years.

I just got these because I wanted to switch it up a bit - black surround with chrome slats. I originally had the chrome surround with black slats.

No one was really selling so when I was offered these, I jumped on them thinking I could fix the paint.

I probably won't be able to find something that matches 100% correctly but because the area is small, I was just looking for something that could blend/match as much as it could.

Plasti-cote bumper chrome is the best I've seen. The problem with paint is it's just not deep enough. For small vertical grille it might be acceptable. Make sure you sand it good(p500-800) and I would use a raw plastic primer also. Raw plastic primer is clear and comes in spray can. I would think that chrome is applied over raw plastic. The primer should be applied lightly and only on raw areas. The primer will help reduce the chance of peeling and on a grille that sees stone impacts is good insurance.
Might also clear coat the chrome paint as it dulls to grey over time and might add the depth the paint lacks. You can clear coat the whole grille if you prep it with a grey scotchbrite, other wise stay to painted area.
