Service Engine Soon... caused by me or other?
I am 99 percent sure that this was caused by me, but i need you guys to put my worries at rest.
Last night while installing my "shitty" EBAY angel eyes, one of the units was defective (flickering then shutting off completely). When the ignition was off the unit would work fine, now here comes the question, I ran my engine for a maximum of 10 minutes with the O2 sensor unplugged, because i was working on the side where my Gruppe-M normally sits but was out of the car to have more room to work. So, the Service engine soon light is because the O2 sensor was unplugged correct? The car is driving normal, pulling fine and idling fine. I have not driven more then 15 miles since then. The light should go away after 30 or so miles right? Thanks in advance

Damn 32 views and no responses?
I'm just going to take it in to service on Monday to make sure everything is good.

Yes, an unplugged O2 sensor will cause a check engine light that "should" dissapear after a few days (or few miles). Now if your defective Angel eyes did something bad electrical that would cause a CEL I dont know, but I doubt it.

Most likely sensors, BMW has a long history for faulty or loose sensors.
Angel eyes, don't worry. A lot of them flicker a lot. Flickering and shutting off is due to the BMW's computer. Same thing happens to Xenons, if your Xenons flicker and don't turn on, the computer cuts power to it completely. What kinda "shitty" angels, did you order? |

I just ordered LUX 4.0, but the ones i got off ebay were 3watt 7000k color temp. They are all over ebay for like 80 bucks to 120, just search e90 angel eyes. I figured they would at least be respectable, but they are plain bad, my OEM halogen angel eyes are brighter.
So, dont order those if you are thinking about it. Just go with Predator ICE or LUX. My opinion of course.
