Which bulb locations give canbus errors?

Whilst I prefer the warmer, softer light from the stock interior bulbs, I'm thinking of replacing the door/puddle lights and boot/trunk light with some decently bright LEDs. Whereas I don't want the interior lights to destroy my night vision if a passenger switches them on, I do want as much light as possible from the door puddle lights and in the boot!

Are the lights in the bottom of the doors affected by canbus errors? I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere that they weren't, but I can't find it now, and am just wondering if it will throw an error message if I stick a normal LED in there.

And am I right in thinking the boot light is definitely canbus sensitive?

Ah, bugger, that restricts my choice of LED.

Cheers for the info!

Bummer to hear this. Was thinking about switching mine out and just got my car. I'll need to look into this.

Not the case, at least in the UK, only exterior bulbs are CANBUS but even that excludes the front indicator repeater bulbs, all others interior (inc trunk) are not CANBUS.

Let me know if different in US but I doubt it.

Cheers

Not even a real concern because you can always code the errors out if one did occur

Very true, but they don't occur, however I think Stroberaver was struggling to find T10 CANBUS I expect when he doesn't need to, although they are available they do cost a lot more.
I've just picked up 10 x T10 non CAN for a few UK £, same CANBUS which are not as compact would be around 5 times the price and not quite so easy to find, especially well constructed good ones.
Hopefully, anyway this might help others thinking of upgrading internal bulbs.
