OZ Superleggera III 18" Wheels & Tires - E90

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
These are the OZ Superleggera III 3 piece aluminum wheels with forged centers. I purchased them from Tire Rack. The wheels sell for over $800 ea. The fronts are 18 x 8.5 ET 39 and the rears are 18 x 9.5 inches ET 34. This set is lighter than the sport pack with run flats that came on the 2007 335i (Car Sold). If you want more details I can provide them or just log onto the Tire Rack web site. I paid over $4,600 for this package 1 year ago which came with a set of Conti Contact 3s 235/40s in the front and 265/35s in the rear. Asking $1500.00 for the set, OBO. I have put around 12000 miles on the set. Tires are still serviceable for another 3k miles or more depending on your driving habits. The wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash. Tires are in very good condition. One of the rears has been plugged. Essentially the tires come for free with this package as this is a great deal for the wheels alone. Shipping and packaging is an additional charge which will be calculated based on your distance from 94402.

Nice wheels... I might be interested, and I'm in the east bay. Do the wheels have TPMS? Was there a particular reason why you went oversize on the tires? They make the rims look smaller.
Also, could you post more pics of the car from different angles?

Cheers

Dog,

Thanks for the reply. No TPMS on this set. With respect to the size tires, I was looking for a bit more width but also wanted a comfortable ride. Have you seen the 18s that come on the E9X M3s? This is leaning in that direction...

so the 235 front and the 265 rear can clear the stock fenders without a problem...is this right?

will the 8.5 front work with 225 tires/ will the 265 rear work with 245 tires?

thanks

Thanks for the interest...!

Yes, no issues with these wheels and tire sizes as listed.

225 F & 245 R rubber will fit these wheel widths.

They will fit, but if he is selling the sport contis I would run them (the extra sidewall will help protect those beautiful rims) - I woulnd't run the 245s in the rear when i could run 265s (the Sport Conti 3s are a very good max performance tire - and they are fairly lightweight also).

I run 235/265 18s also on my E92 and I chose that size over the OE size for both performance and rim protection. I run Sport Conti 3s on the E90 and can vouch for them being a great summer tire.

fedinand-thanks for the great advise...the width of the rim dictates the correct range of tire width.
