Driver information cluster not storing fault codes & DME has no fault code for this?
The driver information cluster can store up to 72 messages and only stores select warnings. If the display fails then codes can be read using DIS.
However, having connected DIS there are no stored codes. The DME does not have any shadow codes. I am at my wits end because I am receiving different error messages such as oil low. These warnings are not stored in the cluster for long. Say I have an oil warning to add 1 liter of oil... next time I start the car up the fault will be there... but the third time it will not be there... and the fourth time it has completely gone. That is just one example. The oil condition sensor checks out and has been replaced twice as well as cross checking with a like for like vehicle. No fault code no idea.  |
