Hey Tiago (or anyone else that can answer), what's the discount I would receive on the VRSF DP's if I were to order the intercooler? And would there be a time limit for ordering the DP's?
I've still got warranty through 3/2014, so I'm mulling whether to go ahead and get DP's or not. Thanks!

Here are my first logs..
I can feel the car loving this thing. Also, I don't have an oil cooler and I noticed the oil temperature went down from the usual 240F to 230F 1- Log1 2- Log2 3- Log3.1 4- Log3.2

Im using the larger clamps and i having problems getting them in Anyone know how remove the hose right off the blow off value. I'm trying to replace the coupler and hose for my bigger intercooler. It will not come down at all. Getting annoyed. The DIY don't help because they just say pull down. U can't pull down because there is this plastic piece in the way so you can not pull it down. Been messing with it for over an hour and it will not come out.

From the videos I've watched, it looks like the 335i has different anti-roll bar mounting points compared to my 335xi. Soooo.....Mine is only attached with the two torx screws because of this. I need an alternative.

Same here. Were those two giant nut looking things to adapt the brackets for the xi? I don't see where they would be used on the rwd cars.

He is correct. Im sure that the mounting points on the sides plus the bumper and belly pan will do just fine in holding it in place.

That's what I meant. Sorry. I mean the tube that goes from the intercooler that attached to the bov I can't pull out. The little black plastic piece on the tube is making it hard to pull out below the engine or above. It keeps getting stuck on the radiator hose and power steering hose. So I am stuck. Everything else is done.

What did you guys do to know that when you were attaching the new couplers on the engine side that there would be enough length left to attach the intercooler sides?
While under the car I couldn't get the coupler over the pipe too well (I didn't think of using WD40) I actually took out the pipe that goes up to the chargepipe, attached the coupler and reinstalled it to the CP, but I was only barely able to get the coupler over the intercooler opening and I think this is where I am getting major boost leak. My friend will be working on it at his shop on Tuesday but I may want to give it another go tomorrow.

I tried to install mine onto the charge pipe side first and then attach intercooler. When doing this I had slid the hose too high onto the stock piping and didn't leave enough to cover the intercooler. Caused hose to blow off on me. After that I had to redo it and and ensure I had enough hose onto the intercooler side. |
