Drilling PDC holes in E92/E93 M Tech Style Rear Bumper
For those of you who have done this what did you cut the holes with and how did they turn out. Replacing rear bumper and looking at options. I would grab one of these but I'm scared of having some janky holes in it. Asked one Body Shop here and they said they would not drill the holes for the PDC. Thoughts/ideas. Any sellers have these predrilled and look nice. Any good pics. I've found a couple but they look pretty bad. If I went with full OEM rear M Tech swap other than the bumper what would I need.
Found this list M rear bumper trim 51 12 8 041 203 Tow Cover 51 12 7 893 147 Rear Bumper Cover 51 12 8 041 192 1 Bottom Center Guide 51 12 7 161 506 1 Bottom Center Guide 51 12 8 044 375 1 Rear Breather Covering 64 22 6 962 293 2 Rear Diffuser 51 12 8 043 897 Are all of these actually needed to replace from OEM standard bumper? Also, if swapping out a stock wrecked bumper with PDC would I need new brackets for those or decoupling rings? Thanks, ---------------------- Update FWIW For E92 upgrade from regular to OEM M Tech rear bumper. Two good links to compare what parts are different between the two setups. Anyone bought from these guys? Any thoughts? Too good to be true? BSM a hard paint to match? Could always cut a chunk of my old bumper off and send it in. |

So back to the m tech rep bumper I think since I have a body shop that can do it. I promised them a pic before we pulled the trigger in case anyone has a backside picture of this bumper that shows where the holes are that would be magnificent. Can anyone of the 100's of proud m tech rep bumper owners with DPC have any input on if you have to get the brackets or Decouplers or do anything special to make them fit properly and flush like factory?

So, does anyone know if these are required when swapping out a standard bumper with PDC, for a M Tech rep without, so that you can mount the new PDC's after drilling holes? My guess is yes but any answer from anyone has done this would be just amazing. |
